I wouldn't quite call it a contender, but they should be a comptetive and exciting team to watch, which is something Grizzlies fans haven't had in a while.

How do you that? Rudy Gay is making 20M for the next years, who will even touch that contract, much less give up a nice package for him? More than likely Memphis will give up one of their lottery picks sometime in the future for other teams to take crap out of their hands.

The rockets are like the charlotte bobcats of the east, they have old aging players that can't get it done anymore on the defensive end. They should just trade their decent role players to a real championship level team and hope they get lucky in the draft. In maybe another 6 or 7 years they may get back to the playoffs if they draft well.

Why do you feel the need to shoot back something negative about the Rockets when someone posts something you don't like about the Grizzlies? Grow up. The discussion is about the Grizzlies. Explain to people why they are wrong instead of being so juvenile and reactionary.

Who gives a flip about the Rockets vs. Bobcats in a thread about the Grizzlies? You want to talk about the Rockets, go to the GARM. Plenty of threads there or start your own.

Man, you are a buzz kill. Why are the grizzlies such a preoccupation with you? Go to the GARM, I doubt there will be any grizzlies fans over there discussion the aging rockets, and you can feed your fandom in peace without any opposition and no discussion.

So you avoid the question completely, as usual. Hah!

No obsession. This is a Grizzlies thread that I didn't start. They will continue in mediocrity, with or without Rudy Gay. They won't be able to trade him because his contract is way too big.

This is a Rockets fan site. You shouldn't be here if you don't like Rockets fans.

correction, Tony Allen has been long regarded since his Boston days as the best perimeter defender in the game.. know that

Who said I don't like rocket fans? Apparently it is the other way a around some here don't like grizzlies fans offering their opinions about their team and the rockets when necessary.

Besides, I live the "rockets" fans to the Garm. I never post in the garm unless it has something to do with the rockets.

The Rockets only old player is Brad Miller. I guess Scola?

As far as the Hawks-Grizzlies comparison I think thats spot on. Only problem is the Hawks pray on the lack of disparity in the East. Grizzlies can't do that in the West.

He was a heck of a defender in Boston too but best perimeter defender was in the eye of the beholder at that time. Now, I think a valid argument can be made that he truly is that well regarded throughout the league. I think Allen has been and will be the biggest reason they have success now that Gay is out for the year.
