Snyder makes some pretty visually stunning movies and considering I don't expect a deep thought provoking flick...I'll check it out.
My opinion, too. I'm hoping he picks up the new Wolverine- he's shown that he can take a Frank Miller story and translate it to the big screen well.
It almost looks like a video game and will probably have a similar story development to one. If I see cool visuals for 90 minutes I'll be satisfied.
That exactly what it is. I'm watching his movies for his kickass visual style. All his movies been pretty fun to watch so far. I just love his visual sense.
Give it a rest. I like Tarsem Singh but he's only directed one good movie and it's The Fall. Zack Snyder kick his ass all over the celluloid when it come to action.
Correction The Fall > 300 The Cell > The Watchmen REM's Losing My Religion Video > Legend of the Guardians ...and I'm gonna go out on a limb and say The Immortals will be > Sucker Punch
24% on tomatometer, OUCH!!! This isn't going to be on Kill Bill's level because for one thing, Tarantino is an excellent storyteller.. Sucker Punch looks like b-grade sleaze movie fun...
the reviews are questionable... i think they clicked rotten by accident... rotten review: a movie that doesn't need an audience--just a box of tissues and some lotion. That anxiety you get is the dawning realization that the movie kind of wants to be by itself. ^ You had me at lotion and tissues rotten review: Wild, loud, fetishistically stylized, and...numbingly dull. ^ festishistically... that's a win rotten review: Zach Snyder has attended the Michael Bay school of filmmaking and graduated the top of the class. ^ I liked transformers rotten review: More like an adolescent fanboy's wet dream come to life than a film. ^ mmmm wet dream
The only that has me skeptical is that this whole movie is basically a dream, and you know it from the get-go. And unlike Inception, the dream here really has no repercussions on anything pretty much. So how can you become vested in any of the characters?
Originally I didn't have much interest for this film, but lately I've been really looking forward to it. I'm not exactly sure why, I'm not to fond of his other movies. Seeing all the negative reviews is a bummer, so probably not going to be very good. Visually, of course fantastic, but everything else...no. I like Emily Browning, but didn't realize it was even her the first time I saw the trailer.
It's pretty obvious the critics are going to hate it. But I'm pretty sure this will be a brain dead fun movies that people will enjoyed if they suspend their disbelief like they should for this type of movie. By the sound of the reviews so far. It's over the top actions will be enough for me even if the story is totally whacked. Dreams usually don't make sense this isn't supposed to be deep like Inception.
Pg-13, really??? Come on Hollywood go all the way with it, you're grabbing the Twilight audience into the screening...
