    Ok,
It used to be only me using the internet in the crib.
But now technically challenged wifey has an iPad, and my nephew is becoming a huge Youtuber on his lap top constantly streaming basketball videos.
Something has to change, because things are not running as fast as they used to at the old home office.
Currently I'm on some old Grandfathered SBC DSL 'Pro' contract (which has become AT&T) and need to start shopping around.
I would like a "hot spot" to take around with me when I'm out. Not sure if anyone "includes" that yet.
Any recommendations? or deals out there?

You should probably ask what speed your current connection is.

    I used to have SBC/AT&T DSL pro. I think it's 3mb/s down. 1.5 up.

    I have Comcast now, it's 15mb/s, 6 up.

Of course, if monthly pay is the issue, just switch to the highest tiered AT&T package. 6mb/s down is good enough.

It depends on what speed you select. Uverse tiers go from 3mbps- 24mbps. Comcast also has different speed tiers.

    Went to AT&T.
U Verse is not yet available in my area.
Upgraded from 'Pro' to 'Elite' for about $7 more a month.
Dude said it would 'double' my speed

I am noticing some difference, but still not sure if this is ideally what I was looking for:confused:
Perhaps if AT&T doesnt offer U Verse in my area, Comcast offers something similar:confused:

I'm just thinking of downgrading. Have Comcast Cable and thinking of switching down to a high-speed DSL. Don't see the point in paying for the speed when all I do is surf cf.net, check email, play free flash games, and stream Dora the Explorer on netflix.
