http://www.fortbendnow.com/2011/03/23/50988 Crazy ****... 2nd time since the beginning of the year in that area of Sugar Land.
What's crazy is these residents fighting with an armed robber instead of just complying with his demands. America is quite a country, I tell ya.
Some of these Sugar Land cops are the laziest bunch I've seen. It's almost as if they were only trained to hand out speeding tickets. Where's the patrolling?
Folks in places like Sugar Land appear to be easy targets to criminals. People get too comfortable in their surroundings. Don't think that just because you're in a nice area, nothing bad can happen. That is what criminals want you to think.
It could be someone from that area, who knows.. It's been happening a lot lately in the Sugar Land area.. The people who do this probably have it planned out and doesn't live to far Sugar Land...
I don't think that area is really Sugarland... Its right next to Alief and that is why you have this hoodlums trying to find some easy pickings.. But man Ashford Lakes is one of the few places where a couple of years ago a $215-$230,000 home got you 4600 SQFT... What a house.
That area is on the edge of Sugar Land. I guess its the corner of Sugar Land/Stafford and Alief. However, Ashford lakes is/was a much better neighborhood than most of what is considered SugarLand near HW6
I didn't mean him, I just meant people in that area in general. I got a few friends there and anytime I have came over, they always leave their door unlocked. That's what I mean by being too comfortable in their surroundings. Forgetting to do simpe things like locking your door because you feel you live in a sae area.
they are not police, they are roving tax collectors. Speeding tickets, busting some one for weed.. that's low hanging fruit and an excuse to not have to do anything about real crime. Armed robbery or busting a zit faced teenager for no front license plate? Clearly that license plate needs to be on there!! and getting shot or a ticket for bad inspection sticker ??and a bonus for writing more tickets ! One of the reasons I left Texas was the high crime , and the simultaneous police state wrapped in one. Where I can buy crack from a 12 year old, but I better damn well turn on my indicator when changing lanes. It got to the point where it might have made sense to just have a revolving acct with the city of houston for BS tickets. It's part of their revenue plan and if you don't see that well you are blind. People go on and on about Texas being so much cheaper , but you better plan to set aside $300-$800 per year for tickets and police state... and have fun looking over your shoulder for the next cop.Believe me he's there.
"...and is a black man about 6 feet tall with medium build, with black hair with a fade on the side and possibly curly on top..." that's easy to find
That's ridiculous if they write you a ticket for that. I don't have front license plates on any of my cars since they look better without them, never had a problem so far.
