Chuck's a chameleon, with a black 4wd he looks like a gang banger, in a picture with nerds he looks like one of you and on a baketball court he looks like a line backer...
About what he is now, maybe with a little more offensive polish... a good roleplayer, a strong backup big man on a championship team.
Do you like using the term "jerkstore"?... terrible..smh...anyhow..if you open your feeble lil mind, my comment was a ode to his hardwork more than an insult..
I think the fact that I did answers your question I saw you being a wet blanket in the other thread "How did we become so tough?" that's a not-so-cleverly disguised jab at the OP's intended premise. Rockets are tough because they have the special combination of personnel, heart, hustle and skill at the team level. Your comment has nothing to do with it....just wet blanket specially priced from the jerkstore.
Chuck already has a handle. He is the best dribbling big we have and he's one of the best handling bigs in the league. He can take it coast to coast and dish or lay it in, and avoid the charging call. He's that good. If he develops a 17 footer this offseason, that is going to be off the chain.
Man loosen the strap on your pampers..It aint that serious for you to be followin my comments...Heres one comment you can follow......Leave Me Be!!
Charles Barkley was a great player. If Chuck were to develop a consistent 17ft jumpshot, he would be a similar player (size and everything) to Charles. Sorry, that's not a wet blanket.
He has pretty much reached his ceiling and was never really that far from it. He just has more confidence now and more importantly the coach has more confidence in him.
So basically what youre saying is that IF he developed a consisent 17 footer he would be Hall of Fame material? because Barkley as I remember (I may be wrong , but I doubt it) is a Hall of Famer without Hayes defensive skills...I dont see the comparison buddy..nope try again.....You sayin these things makes it ridiculous because Hayes cant even develop a 10 ft jumpshot...and you want him shooting from 17....GTFOH ...
i dont know if this is a bad thing, but brad miller without the jumpshot? and a better post game than brad since hes quicker. chuck hayes can make cuts himself compared to brad. but all in all i see chuch being brad. experienced vet who will later become essential to a contending team.
I like the Anthony Mason comparison. it's amazing how far his offense has come -- he used to be a guy that could barely hit a contested layup, now we're throwing it down to him in the post. I've said this a million times now, but I believe it now more than ever -- we need to do whatever we can to find our next great player through the draft by trading up. Don't bring in some soft prima donna like 'Melo or Bosh. Chuck Hayes and Kyle Lowry are the leaders of this team. If we bring in a young, fresh and very talented player, let these guys show him the ropes and lead by example. That way we'll have a humble, hard-working star if it pans out. That, and find a decent center. Start Pat and Chuck Hayes will be your sixth man and first big off the bench.
