Grizzlies are 8-6 without him; they might be playing better without him.

Common Denominator........... Yao was healthy when he arrived, and Tmac had just got his back fixed only to start having knee problems...

they haven't been playing that much better, or even better. they were four games over when he left moving to five in the game he was injured. but the point is they were improving with him. they just have continued the improvement without him

So Memphis had to choose back then, Gay or Battiaay. Now that Battier is back, Gay is gone. Some crazy stuff.

You better catch us in our next 3 games because after that our schedule gets a lot easier.

Ummm, you obviously forget how we got the 6th pick which we traded for Batter. Yao missed 25 games and McGrady missed 35 games in 05-06.

It should be a good finish. If the Rockets don't make it, I'm rooting for you guys.

    Tough road out but doable.

Rockets have always been resilient if nothing else.

We really need Memphis to lose at least 2 of next 3. Possibly all 3.

It's very possible that they lose all 3. I mean Boston and Chicago are at their home plus both still think they can grab first seed. Chicago has been playing great lately so they will come out with all seriousness. Boston is not playing that great but am sure all the veteran guys will pick it up.

SA game: I don't know. Duncan is probably not going to play.. even though SA without Duncan can still beat most teams. It all depends on if they are trying to win everything right now and not worry about the first seed last few games or if they going to get a little lazy now thinking that they have secured it.

Anyways, If they lose all 3.. We will definitely grab 8th seed at that point. We should be able to win 2 of the next 3: GS and NJ one. Miami is also winnable game.

I think one thing that favors us a lot is the fact that we have a great coach. Memphis? Not so much.

Also we have more momentum. We are 11-3 in the last 14 while they are 8-6.

Memphis kinda chokes when they are in pressure so if we can just grab that 8th seed once, they might start losing to average teams.

Plus we got 3 days rest before Miami game = If coach can just prepare players for this game especially, we might surprise them.

The way Memphis has been playing maybe they're a better team without Rudy? This is definitely a blessing in disguise for them..

More minutes for Battier means a better chance for the Rockets to make the playoffs. It would be Shane's greatest contribution ever to the Houston Rockets. Don't let us down!

They'll rally around the definitive news that Gay is out.

Should be an interesting close to the season.
    Pre-playoff excitement.

Funny how we traded two of our rotation players inside the conference
to the teams we are fighting with for playoff chances.

    AB has been struggling.
    How's Shane been doing?

A bit off-topic, but what would you want? getting in the playoffs and lose in the 1st round, or tank now, and getting like the 10th or 11th place in the west?

I always prefer making the playoffs, but are other people that wants to tank, is always the discussion in the GARM,so I want to know what fans of other teams with similar situations thinks about this subject?
