Well, put together your video and let us know when you get 17 million hits. Talent or not, she's laughing all the way to the bank.
I read somewhere that her parents paid to have this music video produced. The cost was only 2k. You have to admit that for only 2k the quality is actually pretty damn good. Not accounting for lyrics and awful autotune of course.
Yeah, that's what it looked like, and 2k was a good price. In the CBS special you can see her family has money and they approached the company that produced her video to make their princess a star. I'm sure the company said, "yeah yeah, your little girls got talent. Just pay us an upfront fee and we'll put a song and video together." However it seems as though on the day she came in to do the video they forgot they had an appointment with her so they had to come up with some lyrics an hour before hand.
newp. look at some of the other creepy pedo bear videos from The Ark Music Factory. This Friday song is right on par with their limited capabilities.
[Music] best song of all time. no shame. been jammin this all day. <iframe title="YouTube video player" width="480" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/9unIMfyltSA" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
I agree with a lot in her. Sure I could throw Muskrat Love or Lion Sleeps Tonight to the pile but even so, I'd rather listen to either of them then anything on the Liquid Metal station (and I like hard rock) or Opera. Sometimes it is just style.
Leila Taleghani, 13 years old, plays Nightingale by Franz Liszt, because she had NO LIFE being forced to practice 9 hours a day by the mean demanding TIGER MOTHER! (JK) I see your point, its taken. There's young virtuosos out there. There's talented young musicians. Though I'm more talking about VOCALISTS, thats "the field" I was referring to. Not so much instrument players and dancers and that kinda thing. I was playing a mean tuba/baritone at age 13 better than some high schoolers, but my singing voice and marketable image was and still isnt worth a darn. At the same time, yes MORE is expected out of someone in Rebecca Black's position. Debbie Gibson wrote AND produced AND performed her own chart topping songs at age 16. She's Mozart compared to this crap. But sometimes POPULARITY isnt earned by talent. You can do some scaled down deleted scene idea from Mickey Mouse Club like this to get it
It's Monday (parody of It's Friday) <iframe title="YouTube video player" width="640" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/X6rzatsYr_Q" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

hahahahah!!! There is no doubt that Friday is absolutely heinous, but if you're talking about absolute worst song/music video ever, i think this one takes the cake: <iframe title="YouTube video player" width="480" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/8mWW6kRITEY" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
before the autotune <iframe title="YouTube video player" width="640" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/Lsyakt_DduE" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
You bring up a good point: young singers are somewhat limited by physical development, in that their voices haven't changed, are still growing, etc. Still, there are people who are a lot better than Rebecca Black: <iframe title="YouTube video player" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/bxDlC7YV5is" allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="390" width="640"></iframe> <iframe title="YouTube video player" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/VtTpfneRsEs" allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="390" width="480"></iframe> Fast forward to the 1:30 mark, unless you speak Slovak. Musical chops are something that really become apparent at an early age. I've seen some 3rd graders in my classes who I can tell have the musical talent to do great things. Doesn't mean they will, of course, because you've got to have the drive and determination, too. If ol' Rebecca keeps working on her voice, she may become a decent singer someday (stranger things have happened), but by strictly measuring musical talent at this point in her life, I think it's safe to say she pretty much sucks.
