I think that one of those european PF/Centers (Kanter, Valanciunas, Motiejunas,Vesely) is alot better than we really know. Ill be happy if we can pick up one of those guys with one of our draft picks... i know morey will pick the "right" player though.

I was just half-watching, so he may have not known what he was talking about. He mentioned that he didn't think Alex works hard and isn't a good shooter. I have no idea if either of these comments are valid- have you watched him a lot? Thoughts?
I've never heard the comment of him not being a hard worker beofore he mentioned that, I so I find it hard to believe, especially considering when he was getting IVs in hs arm at half time and on the sideline As for his shot. He is not a great 3 point shooter but has knocked them down at a 30% and 35% clip the past 2 seasons. Otherwise, he shot 54% from the field last year and 48% this season. Seems fine for a guy that plays the 1/2/3
Henson's measurements are off the charts, but he needs to add muscle to his frame and develop a consistent mid-range game. He's built like Anthony Randolph, Ed Davis, and Brandan Wright were at that stage of their progression, which leads me to believe that another year under Roy Williams would serve him well. He needs to hit the weights hard, come back next season with an improved offensive game, and he'll be a sure-fire top-5 pick.
After all is said and done, I want to draft Jonas Valanciunas. Because the cold fact is that "legit bigs" are still needed to win and they are at a premium. If we could get a young Center with upside on both offense and defense, then you do what you gotta do to put him in a rocket uniform! So to answer the thread question I want to draft C Jonas Valanciunas, and I don't care how raw he may be...

Just say no to Terrence. I'm sorry, I love the kid because he's a Wildcat, but he's not our (Rockets) type of player. Brandon on the other hand would fit in very well. Though to be honest, if there is a lockout, I think both will return to UK. Brandon loves school.. the actual school part of school.
With our second 1st round pick, I wouldn't mind drafting Nikola Vucevic(who just elected to go pro) a 6'11 PF/C out of USC, where he averaged 17ppg 10 reb 1.4 blk. While shooting 50% from the field and 35% from 3. Has good size for a 'Center' standing at 6'11(in shoes) with a wingspan in the neighborhood of 7'5. He greatly lacks in the athletic department, but posses a pretty good skill set and great length to make up for it. Needs to add more strength, but still very young at only 20yrs old. Couldn't agree more. Jones is the last guy I'd want us to draft. Knight, I like quite a bit, though I probably prefer the third Wildcat, Enes Kanter over both. It kinda bums me out that guys like Sullinger and potentially other probable lottery picks are going to stay another year in school. Definitely hurts our chances of trading up and getting the guy we want, as well as getting a steal late in the draft. I also don't really get it to be quite honest. Sullinger is a rich man's Glen Davis. He would have been a top-5 pick in this years draft. I understand that some guys like school more than others and he may be worried about the lockout, but there's no way he'll be a top-5 pick next year. Not even close, probably.
