no, you wanna see awesome? http://spurstalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=162008 Its a KBP multi-thread meltdown, all merged into one thread for easy reference. I didnt even realize he was back, I really got to pay better attention. Considering how much he hates us, I dont understand why keep coming back...

Nachbar plays for Efes and he wears #21. His team didn't make the playoffs. Here are his Euroleague stats: http://www.euroleague.net/competition/players/showplayer?pcode=AHX&clubcode=IST&seasoncode=e2010

This might seem like a dumb question, but it's the specified thread. Who would you first consider as a true, starting PG........? Lowry or Llull ???
Teodosic plays most of his minutes next to another PG in his current team, true (this year). At Olympiacos, he defends more the SGs than the PGs, true too. All that does not make him a SG. You said yourself that Papaloukas defends SGs better than PGs, that's why he often shares minutes with another PG. He is known as one of the better european PGs of the decade. A pure PG. Teodosic is a pure PG since... well, I'll say at least since I know him (2003 FIBA Europe U-16 Championship, gold medal; MVP, teammate Nemenja Aleksandrov). He also won the gold medal in 2007 Championship, being the MVP of the tournament and best assister. As PG. Teodosic is considered 'The PG' of the next serbian generation. He has been frequently compared with Sasha Djordjevic, other people compare him with Sarunas Jaiskevicius. The lithuanian is also a tall PG, a very good shooter, and a bad defender at the PG. Nobody doubts he is a pure PG. Because he has some of the virtues attributed to Teodosic: basket IQ, outstanding vision, control of the tempo, p&r game, versatility as a passer... Teodosic is the PG prototype of the Serbian school, and a team can play with 2 PGs at the same time, not being necessary to label one of them as SG. Example: possible situation with Deron Williams + Paul with team USA, with Deron guarding SGs). But it's curious that even using your own argument (on Llull, last week), the Euroleague considered him a PG last season: http://www.euroleague.net/competition/awards/awards-2009-10 As for the Llull comparison with Dragic (poor man's version of Llull), I disagree. I see Dragic as a better player at the p&r. Better handles, better vision, better passer. Not a poor version.
Teodosic is NOT a "pure point guard" not even close and neither is Jasikevicius and he never was. I'm starting to doubt if you actually watch much European basketball now. Llull is better than Dragic. Dragic has a low basketball IQ, he plays out of control, he plays wildly, and he is turnover prone without trying to make plays but just out of being foolish. So yes, Llull is definitely a better player. I have absolutely no idea how you could claim that Teodosic and Jasikevicius are "pure point guards". No wonder you keep arguing about whether Llull is a point guard or not. You don't seem to know what a point guard even is.
BTW, since many in this forum want him so bad, Ricky Rubio continues to struggle and to ride the bench in the 4th quarter. Rubio's Euroleague stats: http://www.euroleague.net/competition/players/showplayer?pcode=LFW&clubcode=BAR&seasoncode=e2010 (In Euroleague they don't add 2 point and 3 point shots together in the shooting field goal percentage like in the NBA, so you have to add them together to get the actual field goal percentage) 29.3% FG 16.2 3 PT FG% 6.1 Points Per Game 3.2 Rebounds Per Game 3.9 Assists Per Game 1.7 Steals Per Game 1.9 Turnovers Per Game He can't shoot, he can't score, he is turnover prone and his man defense is terrible. He just got absolutely lit up by Diamantidis in his last game. He keeps getting benched in the 4th quarter by his coach in every important game. It's really a huge mystery as to where this strange fascination with Rubio comes from amongst the NBA fan base. He is playing like crap this whole year basically.
I agree, RD, Rubio blows insofar as ball security goes. He's almost as bad as a certain simultaneously bald yet hairy NBA washout who far and away led the entire Euroleauge this year with 3.8 turnovers per game.
FULL SEASON is the NBA equivalent of season stats leaders. Please learn how to properly use the Euroleague website. Reagular season leader section is not an official stat for league leaders. Neither are any of the others. Only FULL SEASON. http://www.euroleague.net/main/statistics/individual/average?topic=Season_E2010&category=Valuation
Deron Williams won't be a pure PG in your mind. Big, can shoot it... no way. Sarunas Jasikevicius, my friend. I watched him in his prime in Barcelona, 3 straight years, almost every game. Seriously, some of your assertions don't deserve even a response. I'm doing it because some people right here may don't know very well those players, but it's really hard to believe that a person who's claiming basketball knowledge is saying things like "Jasikevicius is not a pure PG and he never was".
http://www.euroleague.net/main/statistics/individual/average?topic=Season_E2010&category=Turnovers Uh, I did use it. And guess who's leading the whole FULL SEASON in turnovers. It's funny, 5 years ago he was tossing balls into the front row of the Toyota Center more often than into the basket. Now he's doing the same thing, just in various abandoned parking faciliities and storage lots where they play Euroleague games, the difference is that nobody who matters knows or cares. I think the last "person" you have to remind of this fact is "anchel".
Jasikevicius has never been a pure point guard at any time in his entire career. Good luck with that claim.
