Hopefully T-Will gets a chance in the D-league to prove himself. He's not doing it on the main roster.

Yeah, I heard him saying the other day that he thought he was a point guard. Obviously that puts the ball in his hands for him to dribble around until he finds a shot he wants to take. Unfortunately for him, the Rockets are not running an offense that is going to encourage that sort of play.

In fact, T-Will is not regarded by the Rockets staff as a point guard under any circumstances. This fantasy is a figment of T-Will's imagination, conjured up in his mind in hopes that he can somehow gain control of the basketball in order to show his stuff. Needless to say, that is not going to happen on this team.

Also, the Rockets apparently do not have much confidence in T-Will as a shooting guard or in the position the team has him listed at on the depth chart, which is small forward. If they did, with Chase Budinger out, T-Will would certainly have a chance to play. But they do not, so he will continue to ride the proverbial pine.

Is it just me or TWill is reminding me of Anthony Randolph. Everyone sees the potential they have, and a lot of people see them as All-Stars one day.

But everywhere they go, they end up in the doghouse.

Here is the problem, T-Will isn't that good that he deserves for the team to wait on him to lose the "rust". The problem with T-Will is that he doesn't want to run Adelman's offense but rather run his own iso trash sets. Based on the few games I've watched him, his jumper is a joke and he has a hard time finishing at the basket (even though he is able to get to the hole). If T-Will would stick to the offense he would be playing, however his style is not what Adelman likes, and he isn't good enough for us to wait for him to do his thing.

I was hoping for T-Will to come into his own after the trade, but it seems that he is not working hard enough to earn minutes and that's on him. I don't feel Adelman owes him anything (I don't care what we traded for him).

I'm going to be completely honest here and admit I have no idea who Harris is. Any one care to elaborate?

Great D-League player whose game doesn't translate to the NBA. He plays hard and knows the system.

From what I've seen, Adelman doesn't just throw young players out on the court and just let them "do their thing." He seems to give them very specific assignments and then if they prove that they can successfully handle their assignments, Adelman expands their responsibilities. He's done this with every young Rocket who has earned minutes under him IMO.

Patterson, for example, was told at first to just rebound and be the "energy guy." When he proved he could do that, Adelman started to involve him in other ways.

I'd be interested to know what instructions Williams receives from the coach, and if he really strays from the program as many people seem to think he does.

Pretty much this, he doesn't want to play the position he's given.

    For SF, it should read
SF: Lee | PatPat | Harris | DeMarre | Clutch the Bear | Clutch the Web Dude | Hayes | Dragic | Karl Malone | TWill

Good. Very good. In the limited minutes he has been given, he has proven to be a bum. Terrible attitude.

Its because like Hill, coach is trying to make him into something he doesn't/can't play. He can't shoot threes so thats one part of his game Rick doesn't like. It seems like just playing d and running around screens and getting the occasional iso play isn't enough for him. Thats not a bad thing to want to be a better/great player, but thats the only way he can play here is if he plays like Bud, Lee, or Martin which ain't gonna happen. Again because threes are a BIG part of their game. I think he needs to play with Lowry, so he doesn't get to dominate ball and I think Lowry can make him play within the system.

Well, this was a risky move to bring in T-Will. He'd shown to have problems with the Nets, now he's obviously having his issues with Adelman.

Morey would not have traded for him, if he didn't have the talent. Let's focus on this. Now it's up to T-Will to bring his game up a level. The talent is indisputable.

Lowry, Hayes, Scola, and Martin have set a tone that is about absolute professionalism. Lee and Patterson seems to be upholding this tone very well off the bench. Even Hill seems to be more consistent, his defense has been the most consistent, though his offense has had problems.

So why cut T-Will a break? If he isn't running the plays efficiently, then we might as well punch in our ticket for the lottery and failure.

I completely do not understand this thinking.

IT IS Lowry who deserves to play with who he wants to play with...not TWill. Do you honestly think Lowry wants to play with TWill?

I can hear college-great, NCAA Champion Butch Lee back in the day on the Lakers: Oh man, it's not me. if the coaches would just let me play more with Magic Johnson, I could show my stuff.
