I am hoping they flame out completely and play below 500 basketball. Which is possible for them because they are the Grizzlies. We are the Rockets. They feel our presure on them and they start to fold under pressure. We dont have to win 8-3 I dont think but we could. I think its a good shot. 50/50 to get in.
I hope Shane remembers how much we want to make the playoffs, and plays the role of the mole over in Memphis. So we could easily slide in....lol

New orleans have a brutal schedule, i firmly believe if we beat them on the road it's them that are the most vulnerable
Gay is out for the season. http://probasketballtalk.nbcsports....dy-gay-out-for-season-needs-shoulder-surgery/ should help us get the 8th seed. Unless the griz play out of this world to compensate.
This isn't that great news. I mean we'll have it easier when we play them but so will Denver, Memphis, Portland (2 times), and Phoenix. Basically, it doesn't matter how good or bad SAS is during the next couple of weeks because any advantages we gain will just be cancelled out by the ones our rivals gain.
rudy gay out for the remainder of the season. shoulder surgery. this should help the Rockets out quite nicely  http://www.nba.com/2011/news/03/22/grizzlies-gay.ap/index.html?ls=iref:nbahpt2
I have a feeling the Rockets will not keep this up and dissappoint us again. You cannot expect Lowry to keep this level of play up. I also do not expect Patterson to keep his play up and with Hill, Lee and Scola struggling to score we need to play perfect to go 8-3 / 7-4. I expect us to do well so 6-5. VS. GS - W - Will be close, but we'll take it @ Miami - L No explanation needed @ NJ - W - No Deron, I expect no problem @ Philly - L - Philly owns us, I don't know why VS. San Antonio - L - Superstar calls go against us VS. Atlanta - W - We have to prove them last win wasn't a fluke VS. SAC - W - Get outta here! @ New Orleans - L - Payback for last time VS. LAC - W - Blake Griffin is shut down by Hayes VS. Dallas - L - Terry & Barrea will kill us @ MInny - W - Just for kicks. Prove me wrong!!
No, its good news because WHEN we make the playoffs, we'll be playing a Spurs team WITHOUT Tim Duncan. WINNING!!!
Memphis will make it for sure. Rudy Gay's injury will just make them focus on playing fundamental team-ball where everyone contributes to a win. As far as their tougher schedule, I predict their opponents will overestimate them and be surprised with a stunning loss. Rockets will keep up pace, but lose a few crucial games which will put them out of the playoff chase, despite being over .500.
Yeah but these teams they play can't afford to do that. The Celtics really want that homecourt...against the Lakers. In their mind they did not win the championship last year because they did not have homecourt in the finals. That recent win against NYK should motivate them a bit more as they get over their lost team member in Perk. Then they play Chicago...who is right now tied for 1st. Spurs...They are pretty comfy where they are at right now. Hornets will need a W just as much as anyone. So a lot of the teams they will play can't just coast through the rest of the season.
