I thought the whole point of having a superstar or two is that these guys will get you points during crunch time when opposing D focuses and shuts down the fool's gold players. Turns out Melo, Amare and Willy the Squid each scored 0 pts during the 4th qtr in the Knicks loss to Boston.

    Hmmm...

Knicks lost last 6 of 7... Does Jared Jeffries have a curse or something?

NY traded three freaking starters off their lineup for this guy, it's hard enough to incorporate one or two new guys but how about three. I really thought the Bucks would get their stuff together earlier but they just haven't really been able to otherwise, NY may have been playing for their playoff lives.

    Keep losing NY.

They will probably get their act together and become a better team next season, but this season they could continue to drop, which is great news to us.

C'mon guys, the Knicks are a "dangerous" playoff opponent who will probably take the Heat to 7 games.

I didn't really know who to root for. It was enough for me that one team would lose. When the Knicks took the lead, I had a feeling the Celts would come back. The Knicks didn't play that well in the first half. I thought the problem was how bad the Celts were.

That 15-0 run in the 4th quarter was awesome to watch. Chauncey did his silly leg kick and got a 4-point play out of it. A hate his cheap moves to draw fouls. Then the Knicks proceeded to melt down like a candle. It was spectacular.

I liked the attitude and nastiness both teams showed each other. Wouldn't bother me at all if they met in the 1st round, even if the Celts won 4-0 or 4-1.

Knicks are bad. This just goes to show you that you cant just put a bunch of superstars together and expect to win. The pieces have to compliment each other.

They traded 3 starters and their best bench player and 2 1st round picks......oof

We have no true star (although Lowry is making his case) and we have a better record.

I don't think anyone inside the Knicks organization legitimately thought they'd be better this year after the trade. They took a step back knowing it'd payoff eventually. The only thing that matters in this league is winning championships. It isn't an easy process to rebuild out of the hole Isiah put them in.

They've been saying that D'antoni has been severely overworking Amare this season...perhaps there is far more truth to that than we realized. Though I haven't at all studied his performance and numbers in the last few months, it does seem that the few stat lines I've caught recently have shown a drop from earlier in the season

Or maybe Melo just isn't a superstar. Wade and LBJ don't compliment each other at all, and they have a much better record than NY post melo

Bogut can't use his right arm for anything really.

With a couple of minutes left, he and Rondo crashed into each other going after a loose ball. Actually, Rondo's arm (close to his elbow) crashed into the corner of Melo's eye). The blood droplets on the floor were gross.

The real bloody incident was when Jared Jeffries elbowed Ray Allen in the side of his noggin. There was blood all over Allen head. Very nasty.

They need to build chemistry, and I'm sure they will be fine next year.

This isnt NBA2k11, in real life, it takes awhile for teams to build chemistry, and for players to get used to each other.

Look at the rockets, it has taken them over half the season to really gel as a team, the Knicks are still working things out.

You get the superstars first, then worry about the role players, as role players come a dime a dozen.

So you rather have Patterson, then Melo or Bosh?
Bosh is a top 5 PF, and Melo a top 5 SF.
