I'd still do that deal if I'm Houston, but the reason I think Utah would at least consider the deal is because Lowry is on a great contract right now. Him at a MLE contract may be a better value than Deron on a max contract. Still, the NJ offer is the better deal.

    This.

And I love Lowry, but that'd be a pretty sick team.

What are you, nuts? HELL YES!

Let's put it this way. DWill becomes a FA in 2012. If Morey can manipulate our roster a bit, we would potentially have enough money to have the following starting lineup.

    Dwight Howard(FA)
    Patterson
    Budinger
    Martin
    DWill

If Patterson continues to grow into a 15/10 type player next year, with Martin and his typical 22+ppg at great efficiency, plus DWill being DWill, how is Dwight Howard NOT coming here? We'd easily be a contender for the next 5 years.

I would do it even if D-Will didn't sign an extension.

Yes- if he agrees on an extension.
    No- if he doesn't.

    In a Heartbeat.

Deron is a proven stud. I would go as far as trading Lowry/Bat/Bud various picks.

No! Lowry is already better than Dwill with his defense, efficiency and rebounding. The only difference is more consistency and it will come.

5 years of Kyle Lowry and a 1st rd pick > 1.5 years of Derron Williams

Could you imagine D-Will instead of Lowry on this team? Beast. And we'd have no problem attracting Dwight Howard. Having said that, I love Lowry and the way he has been playing since getting the starting job. He's no D-Will, but he's no Aaron Brooks either.

I didn't really wanted to vote this poll..but if I have to...I would say no.

firstly, Lowry is better than Brooks, Shane Battier contract is expiring and Jefferies would have been waived...

A million times no for a rental.

A million times yes with an extension.

Kyle Lowry at $6 million per year >>>> D.Williams at max dollars. (Assuming they both continue to play at their current level)

This team is one quality big from being a top contender (if we can keep Adelman).

    That all depends ...

On hindsight, I would definitely not have made the trade. After seeing Kyle take off like this, I'm thinking he's the better bet at this point.

But, at the deadline, I probably would have done it.

Rcokets should have offered even more. Chase, Hill, Yao expiring, whatever needed to get DW.

I probably would have made the trade then, but would have been hesitant about him wanting to sign an extension.

Knowing what I know now about Lowry, I definitely wouldn't do the trade. For his production, and what he is signed for, we have a steal. I'd rather have Lowry and (hopefully) sign another star at a different position.

    deron williams is over-rated.

lowry is playing out of his mind... pass on dwill.

let dwill kill another teams' coach and chemistry (like he did in utah).
