Yea, I think that would be great for the league if they allowed that. Lots of times when players are injured, but ready to come back, they're often sloppy, rusty and out of game shape. Brooks, Budinger, Yao and Scola could've used some time over there after their injuries to help their rehab process without affecting the Rockets rotation or chemistry.

MLB does this all the time with injured stars by sending them to AAA. I think its a great idea because the players get more time than they would with their NBA team, it doesn't hurt their NBA teams chemistry, fans from small towns get to see players they would never get to see, thus selling out games for the Vipers and others, and the players would be 100% when they're back on their NBA team and ready to go.

Go to the NBADL official site, there is something there called 'NBA Futurecast' at the very top of the site. It says they show every Dleague game for free, I've never tried it though.

I've said this before, Thabeet needs to play as much as his body can stand. He's a guy that needs reps in game to learn from. The rockets and grizz are both in playoff pursuit and can't wait for that nor can they give him enough minutes to fast forward this process. As soon as the trade was made and morey knowing adelman, thabeet shouldve been sent down to the valley. CD is in houston and if needed, he couldve been requested to travel the 5 hrs to the valley to work with thabeet. I wish they would have done it earlier, but its still a good move.

Just not impacting the game really... he's trying to post up, and he had that nice 15-footer over Walker, but it's not offense that they're looking for.

    ?????

If you are talking about all the RGV team, you are absolutely correct, they look lost, slow and sloppy.

If you are specifically talking about Thabbet, then you are just hating, you can clearly see he is lost, and that is just easy to predict, new environment, and of course the fact that he is defending Walker doesn´t help, dude shoot from the perimeter, and for a 7´3 guy it doesn´t get any worse than that to defend.

    Give this guy some time....

I think Thabeet looked alright. He did affect some shots just by standing under the rim. There was about 4 times where someone penetrated the lane and saw Thabeet and passed it back out although it looked like they had a easy drive to the basket.

But he's not looked special or anything, but it is his first game and I doubt he's had any practice time at all with that team.

Sad to see Antoine in this game...

That Hasheem goal tend was pretty nice looking, I'm glad he's at least trying to block shots.

Was it CD who said he has good hands? It seems like some of the Vipers are trying to force it to Thabeet, throwing a couple over his head...which is guess is easier than it sounds :)

Thabeet sure hasn't looked good in the few minutes he's played so far, but in his defense, the same could be said about every other Vipers player.
Turnovers after turnovers, bad shots, poor execution. Thabeet was guarded by Antoine Walker and Luke freakin Babbitt and instead of looking for Thabeet his teammates decide to chuck up some contested 15 footers.

Nice block by Thabeet. Looks like hes starting to get more involved in the game. I imagine he will be a bit winded towards the end of the game due to his lack of playing time...

Thabeet is out of shape, but he had a HELL of a post move and his shotblocking/changing skills are undeniably amazing.

    Thabeet

I don't see any passion or energy out of Thabeet. Not running for rebounds, gets pushed out of position, looks confused.

You can see Hasheem's desire and skills in shotblocking but he is playing like a cup of fro-yo in the other aspects of the game he absolutely needs to focus on in order to make a career of himself.

He does a lot of standing around and watching and has been getting pushed off the boards by guards. He even had his hands on his hip with the ball in play. He needs to get mean and harden the hell up.
