he said that he "snapped" at the 50 sec mark. its really sad that a kid has to reach a breaking point and "snap". snaps in high schools are usually not a good thing. too bad the school didn't have a much more harsh zero tolerance policy to where the skinny kid could have gotten expelled.

 

Schools with "zero tolerance" policies are so F***ing stupid. How is that fair? you get attacked repeatedly and then when you defend yourself you get punished for it? I got harassed by a ghetto hurricane katrina refugee black girl once, I told her to "shut the **** up, *****". She proceeded to charge at me and threw several punches, none of which landed of course, and I didn't even try to defend myself, I just kinda dodged them because I don't fight girls. Well, I ended up getting "In school suspension" while she got 3 days. Mind you, I was an honor roll student in all AP classes, and I missed a whole day because of this crap, while she was a future Micky D's burger flipping prospect and she usually skips class for the heck of it without getting suspended. Very "American" of the school.

 

It's a shame because after seeing the video the kid seems like a cool, intelligent guy who would make a good friend.

I hope someone does a follow up story on him in a few years.

Just a bit of inside info for my Clutchfans...

This incident happened at the high school I would have gone to had I not headed to a school out of my local area.

Anyway, I know someone that taught the big kid before he went to high school.

They said he is a really nice kid, was always well liked by kids at his school and for him to do what he did, he must have been pushed for a long time.

They were actually really upset when they realized who it was in the video. I had to keep saying to them "He's fine, look at him, hes a star all around the world and he was the only one walking away from that video!" :grin:

Nothing major but thought I'd throw that in.

 

Wow how things change real quickly from middle school to high school. From being well liked to having all his friends ditch him and started getting bullied.

 

An Aussie, wow and the way he talks is very mature, I love that dialect... For some reason I thought he had a southern hick accent being that he's fat??

I have a hard time believing anything the twig says is sincere. And totally agree with the drug addict parents. No surprise the twig came out like that with druggy parents.
