I always said he reminded me of Ron Ron (Minus the Bonehead)

    maybe defensively, especially against Lebron.

But offensively, the 5 for Adelman is a special role. Chuck seems to handle the high post very well, playing with the guards. I doubt Coach wants to adjust Chuck's offensive role.

Anyone remember in summer league when he was shooting threes?

    I try not to.

I'm not exactly in love with the idea of Patterson at three, but I imagine it would only be for few minutes in select matchups. It would be kind of funny if Patterson at the three is an option over Terrence Williams.

Patterson at 3 is more for defensive matchups. He did an adequate job guarding Carmelo Anthony in Denver a few months back.

It would be interesting to see if he attempts any 3-pointers while playing the 3. It sure would be nice if, in addition to all the other great things he's shown recently, he demonstrates a 3-point shot.

    Uhh...
We don't need our SF to handle the ball.
If TWill is useless without the ball, then he will not sniff the floor.

I dont think Bud will be out to long, as he stated in the post-game interview...at least 2 or 3 games...I rather put Lee or T-Will in Bud spot for now and PatPat still at 4, while Scola gets back to form or 100%. Plus, I dont want rush PatPat to become a SF.

I'd be cool if Patterson started to take the occasional 3 point shot.

I suggested this early in the season when PP wasn't getting any burn at 4/5 slots and C-bud was playing like crap, and the idea got shot down on the board. Sometimes visionaries have it tough

Yeah I was thinking about defense. Chuck will be at the high post on offense no matter what position he plays. I haven't seen Patterson defending the 3 enough to know what he can do. But I am pretty sure Hayes can guard the bigger 3s. Remember they put him on Pierce last year in that last possession and forced Pierce to take a bad shot?

On offense, Patterson is a good shooter. And he's probably smart enough to do the read and cut thing in Adelman's schemes.

And I think Gragic will play a lot more at the 2 with Lee sliding to the 3.

Bottom line, if Williams is not used, we only have 4 perimeter guys now, Lowry, Martin, Lee, Gragic. I don't know how the coach is going to juggle 144 minutes with only 4 players. We're gonna play a lot of small ball.

Lebron will be spending time at the 4, I don't know about you, but i figure if we play Scola on Lebron he'll score 50.

As unpopular as this will probably be, Battier's intangibles got so intangible, they stopped showing up in the win column, he is done as an nba starter.

PatPat definantly can defend sf's. On switchs in pick and roll he always seems to get the better of small match ups or at least creates a bad shot. With Scola's finesse game and Chucks height i could see this working. I would like to see what he can do at center next year unless we get an actual one. He seems to have the toughness and grit for it. I think Morey struck gold on this one.

Vs Miami, I double LeCunt and Wade , put Hayes on Bosh Spice, and let the other scrubs beat me.

Did you watch summer league? Patterson showed that he can knock down the corner 3-pointer. Adelman hasn't drawn up any plays for that yet, but if Patterson is playing the 3 there's a good chance he'll shoot it.

Sounds great to me, and I had the same thought when Bud went down. Would much rather see

    Lowry, Martin, PatPat, Scola, Hayes

    than

    Lowry, Martin, Wiliams, Scola, Hayes

Good remark, it wouldn't be so rare playing him the 3, specially if the opposing SF is big enough.
