This. I love P-Pat's game and I think he certainly will be our starting PF eventually (also while having a higher ceiling by far), but not quite yet. Scola is still the wily veteran and while he looked off today, it's his first game back; let's not all forget what Scola gives us and how happy we were to have him over Bosh at the beginning of the season.

If it was one game, I would call it a fluke.
If it was two games, I would call it a coincidence.
Since he has had multiple repeated performances, I would call this a trend.

Would like to see Budinger and Scola moved for a younger better SF.

Scola has been one of the 2 best players on this team and until last week had not missed any games. How about we keep him for now?

I would trade scola in the offseason for whatever I could get and go with patterson. The rox need to shed some payroll so they could make a run at howard and williams either mid season or next off season.

This board is hilariously stupid if 75% of you think Patterson deserves to start over Scola. Patterson is nowhere NEAR as skilled, and I find it unlikely he will ever reach the level Scola is playing at now. Even if he does, it's clear that Scola is a far better player at this point in time.

if we are thinking longterm we need to dump scola, love him but sell him while hes hot. we need to get a real center or that franchise player.

    Oh my goodness....

So we just said no to our most consistent player for years for 3 games by Rookie?

Patterson is good player to have off the bench. He is amazing. But he is no scola.

As of now, Scola is better for team.

Shareef Adur Rahim 2.0. Shareef was an All-star. Pat also is our only consistent shotblocker. Pat has amazing timing and could outblock Dwight given the minutes. 2 and a half blocks leads the league, Hakeem would cry.

We may not have much of a choice. Scola's contract is probably untradeable so Patterson will be the one to go if we try to upgrade SF or C.

    We arent contending soon.

By the time we are contending again, Patterson will definately be as good or better than Scola.

Scola's value is peaking. We can get a really good player for him right now.

I don't think it's necessarily about now, I wouldn't start 2Pat over Scola this season.

Not sure why you don't think Patterson can be a better player than Scola. Scola has a nice midrange game as does Patterson. LS very crafty around the basket, PP needs a go to move or two but is a solid finisher. I think Patterson is already a better one on one defender as well as team defender. Athleticism is night and day.

I'm a huge fan of Scola, always will be, he has more heart than most anyone in the league. This said, if there is a trade to be made that will Better this team by moving Scola, you do it.

It's my belief Patterson will be a better all around player than Scola, is he yet?probably not, but he has a great start.

Far from untradeable, his contract is VERY friendly. You basically looking at 3 yrs for 28 million and an non-guaranteed final year for 11 million more.

Edit - Look at Paul Millsap's contract 4 -32 million, although younger, his numbers aren't as good as Scola's stats.

A healthy Scola should start over Patterson. Patterson is playing great the last few games but Scola has been a consistent performer for years and brings both experience and tenacity to the table.

Arent we over reacting a little by saying its time to trade Scola? Lets wait untill Pat shows the same consistancy as Scola. Pat has only played 40 games. In those 40 games a string of few good games doesnt warrant him to take Scolas job.

Pat has been awesome and deservers his minutes increased thats for sure. Lets wait to see untill another 50 games or so beofre we start talking trading Scola.
