you guys had been clowning me all year when I said UT-Austin branch was overrated, and now we saw that they were in fact, overrated. Just sayin'...
That 5 sec call during the inbounds was kinda BS'd but Arizona still had to win the game...plus why call the TO right after the Hamilton rebound? Regardless, Derrick Williams = STUD
Overrated by losing a 3rd round NCAA tournament game by 1 point vs. a team one seed lower than them? And people say Rice graduates are smart. Just sayin'...
the more you post on here the more you show your just jealous of UT. You know UT is cooler than anything you have been a part of, so you take it out on here. HAHAHA, poor dude
Third round tournament game? As shown by your post, as well as UT-Austin branch's ball-inbounder, it appears "counting" must not be required coursework.
Just stop man.. just stop. This clearly shows that you don't follow NCAA basketball. It was the third round. The first four is the first round... round of 64 is 2nd round.. and the round of 32 is the third round. Just stop embarrassing yourself time and time again.
No one argued how many games they played. You argued that it's not the third round when the entire sports world, except for you, considers this the third round. I guess at Rice it's considered hip to just make your own rules.....kinda like self-proclaiming your school the Houston city champs. Whatever makes you feel better about yourself
<iframe title="YouTube video player" width="640" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/zgzRqDzbAQY" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> People on the video are saying you can't call a timeout after 4 seconds of the 5 second violation rule. Is this true or did we seriously get screwed?
Did anyone say anything about games? I thought it was about rounds? I guess maybe you're blind too? Or perhaps slow? Not quite sure. It is the third round, there's really nothing you can say to argue that.
That's completely bogus... there's nothing at all in the rulebook about not being able to call a timeout after 4 seconds. There wouldn't even be a reason to have that rule.
Not true on the lack of ability to call a timeout after four seconds. Announcers were wrong there. Here's what the official said after the game (via http://weareaustin.com/fulltext/?nxd_id=130636): Watching the replay (and the timer at the bottom), I only get to 4 seconds. But it doesn't matter now... Frustrating sequence to end the game. Hamilton and Brown are probably the only two people you want with the ball at the end there -- no reason for Hamilton to call a timeout, just let them foul you (and it looked like he may have even had a chance for a fast break untouched). Then the inbounds problem. Then Derrick Williams goes beast mode and we give up an And-1. Then J'Covan, who was brilliant down the stretch, takes too long, and doesn't give us a chance to make a play on a tip in. New ways to lose a game.
