http://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20110320005040/en/ATT-Acquire-T-Mobile-USA-Deutsche-Telekom Wonder what this means for tmobile customers and the mobile industry in general.
Higher prices. AT&T buying T-Mobile USA will severely reduce competition. I'm thinking the last domino falling might be Verizon buying Sprint within a couple of years. That is the worst thing that could happen to consumers.
Didn't AT&T buy Cingular a few years ago? Now T-Mobile? Walking a thin line here... this is terrible news, especially as a T-Mobile customer.
Cingular was a joint venture between Bell South and SBC. SBC then purchased Bell South and later purchased AT&T. Then SBC rebranded themselves as AT&T.
Well . . .maybe. . . does this mean ATT will now be in bed with WalMart? [I think Walmart's mobile service is on TMobile's network] Rocket River
Im a Tmobile customer currently , things about to get interesting in telecommunications world in near future.
Soon to be ex-T-mobile customer, going to be a Sprint customer. Now for Verizon and AT&T to merge and we've come full circle.
As the rumors go , there will be only Verizon and AT&T left standing after Verizon buys Sprint in the near future.
Wow that sucks (as a T-Mobile customer). I would've rather been bought out by Verizon. I'm gonna pay my ETF and dip outta this contract, no thanks to the ****ty AT&T networks and their gov't sharing w/o warrant taps.
Verizon will be buying Sprint by year's end. I hate this. I JUST dumped AT&T for T-Mobile to escape their crappy service, high prices, and bandwidth throttling...
Damn I've never had a problem with Tmobile...even though the phones weren't as good as the other carriers I always felt their price plans were good. At least I'm on a month to month plan...now the question is should I be swallowed by AT&T or head to Verizon?
At least Trash mobiles signal will be better. Funny because earliier last month there was rumors of sprint and tmobile merging (rumors for years) but the network incompatibilities wouod have been tremendous. Anyway right now if you want good 4g, its all about VZW. Sprint customers, don't worry you will get LTE. I know some stuff or ttwo. Alcatel Lucent, Samsung, and ericcson (company who manages sprint's towers from towerco) have a tentative agreement tto start deploying LTE onto ttheir cellsites. This hasn't been announced yet but it most likely will
