Man, aside from UConn, the Big East has completely sucked in this tournament. Big 12 and Big Ten are the best conferences right now... but damn this leaves roads open for BYU, K-State and Florida for the Final Four now in that South East region.
i'm not sure i could coach college kids. they just do so many stupid things per minute it's incredible. are you really reaching in and hacking the crap out of someone with 1.4 seconds left on a rebound in a tie game? because you're gonna get the steal and make a shot in under a second? is howard the first person to win 2 games with under a second left in the same tournament?
I'm not sure about beating Butler but yeah I think I made the wrong pick there. To be honest I barely kept up with college basketball this year and my picks weren't that educated. I'm just proud of myself for picking the Butler/Pitt game
Eat crow. =/ Gotta commend Pullen for his effort... a senior that tried his hardest to get his team to victory. Man... what a talent.
I went from 2nd to 19th after Pitt/Butler and K St/Wisc. Glad to see the Mormon Jordan do his thing again... dropped 7 treys on the Zags. Kid's a baller.
Well I am so hosed now. Yea, I'm a K-State homer and I stupidly picked them to make the final 4 but was really expecting Pitt to make it instead. However, with Butler winning, K-State had a really good shot to get there (all they had to do was beat Butler and then probably Florida - a team they had already played this season and could beat). Losing to Wisconsin is a bitter pill to swallow, especially when their best player goes 2 for 16 from the field! I don't know what else Pullen could have done as he had 38 points. I guess he could have made that free throw that would have tied the game instead of putting K-State down by 1 but that is nitpicking. I blame Spradling for not getting him the ball in a decent spot in the end (did anyone else see Frank Martin give Spradling the business?). Any way, I am going to miss watching Pullen play. Really sucks to see them out already. Go Butler - since my bracket is so effed up, might as well as pull for them.
i say we just get rid of the brackets and have unc and washington play the final 22 games of the tourney against each other. fun to watch teams actually get up and down and have some actual offensive talent and shot-making ability all over the court.
That kid for UNC that touched the ball on the halfcourt heave and then basically goaltended the gamewinning shot (yes it was a 2, but the clockkeeper effed up too) is a freaking moron.
If Duke and Texas both win today, I will have a perfect region. Expect either or both Duke and Texas to now lose.
I know lol what the **** was that guy doing? But that was a classic case of homecooking from the stadium folk helping UNC.
Being underdogs and all I thought Michigan should have went for 3 in that situation and the ball should have been in Hardaway Jr. hand.
