This is one of the things I really don't get about a lot of video sites such as Hulu.com, MTV etc. They only show their videos to viewers in the US. I have a hard time figuring out the reasoning behind it. I mean they earn revenue by putting advertisement before the start of every video, how does not showing it in to other countries suppose to benefit them. Does running it on in the US suppose to save them money or something? I was fine with this until, Youtube, out of all sites started blocking their videos from me... I mean wtf, YOUTUBE?! Does anyone have an explanation.
It's a rights issue. Blame the music and film industry. I have been using vpn to get around this crap.
There were some NBA highlights subscription on YouTube that wouldn't allow U.S viewers to watch the highlights . So to your point , there are few things Americans have trouble with also.
Get a subscription to a public VPN site (try publicvpn.com). I used it while I was in Brazil and was able to stream video from hulu and Netflix since my IP was coming out of the U.S..
what are you using? I heard about Hotspot Shield, but then I wasnt sure about that program, or any other vpn.
