You want to bring up an exception in terms of that? How about this, go watch the playoffs last year and tell me why Rondo was the best player on the team and was an all star, not to mention 1st all NBA defender.

using starting PG like rondo that led his team to the finals and was an all star, doesn't augment the case for a backup PG missing wide open shots.

You can try bending it all you want, but the case still stands.

    Rondo right now is >>Lowry.

Using a comparison from last year is a bigger joke considering i would have traded both brooks and lowry for him.

its about retaining it. The better player will start, with the exception of jason terry-likes that play better as 6th men.

If you would have trade both Lowry and Brooks for Rondo, then I'm glad as hell you're not the gm.

You've been double-triple-quintuple posting a lot on this thread calling everyone out. I don't know if knote has posts of you downgrading Lowry's skills compared to Brooks, but if you've been doubting Lowry this thread is for you to eat crow, not to act like some objective smartass.

You want me to eat crow? I was wrong about underestimating Lowry's potential improvement. I never thought he would become a good shooter. And when he is

    he is better than brooks.

I don't understand where this other nonsense is coming from though.

Actually it completely refutes your point about a player being left wide open.

But hey, you've already talked about two "exceptions" now, pretty soon when you have lots of exceptions it stops being an exception.

i didn't doubt his skills. He was clearly outmatched in terms of shooting capability when I called him out.

I don't remember calling him out since hes been playing well.

If you actually read my posts, I already stated I ate crow about it specifically. And don't give me lessons about trade value, 2 yrs ago, tmac was the greatest player on the planet to you and you called DD out for wanting to trade Manu for him.

I don't remember much crow eating in terms of that?

    LOL

I don't recall saying that, but sure let's say I did say it, since I most likely did. Why do I need to eat crow? A healthy McGrady is miles ahead of Ginobli, it's not even close.

A HEALTHY Lowry is still better than a HEALTHY Brooks. A Healthy Lowry without a shot is a better team player than a Healthy Brooks. Now you have a Healthy Lowry WITH a shot and there is no doubt he is better than Brooks.

Give me a break, most people (myself included) is well aware of Lowry's weakness in shooting during the Lowry should start debates. It's how Lowry runs the team despite his shooting weakness that makes him a more viable starter.

    Stop trolling around.

And find me a link were I specifically said McGrady was the greatest player on the planet.

Was I a fan of McGrady? Doesn't mean I think he's the greatest.

If you want to start a debate, I'm fine with that. Your garbage opinionated post with absolutely no substance belongs somewhere else.

As a sidenote, I don't think Brooks is as bad as he has been this season. I think he will eventually recover his shooting touch, and with his amazing quickness, he will be a solid player in this league (PG/SG combo guard) for years to come, at least on the offensive end.

    I'm insulted I wasn't quoted as as a stout Lowry supporter :(

I have been saying Lowry was a true Point Guard and we needed to trade AB to prove it.

People hated him the most when he was with his best stats though.

One hater said it best: "I hate AB because of AB nut hangers".
That's just a perfect definition for haters.

These kind of threads are annoying IMO. It's usually one person who has been wrong about many things, but finally is right about something, and decides to make a thread about it.

So people were wrong, big deal? I'm sure they aren't sitting there at their computers saying "Come on Lowry, choke, I want to be right about how you'll never be a starter!" DD Was in the chat last night, and couldn't of been complimenting Lowry any more than he was. Always talking great about him.

Yes, Lowry has turned into some kind of player, and I'm sure all Rockets fans can be happy about it. It doesn't always have to be "Yes, I was wrong and you were right, all hail you're opinions for now on."

I will stand by my original stance and that was "get rid of both" for a guy like CP3, DWill, or even Steve Nash (even at this point in his career). I do appreciate all the things Lowry has done for this team recently but was never one of his followers nor Brooks'.

I do like this thread a whole lot btw

My sig, which has been here for awhile, has been my way of eating crow.

    I was wrong about Kyle.

Are you satisfied, already? What a dumb thread.

I agree, he very much become Steve Nash's successor......so I wouldn't be bashing on him too much just yet (still though, I could care less for the guy)

    I agree.

Look guys, Brooks could easily return to his old status, Phoenix goes to the playoffs and defeats San Antonio, Denver etc...just sayin....

At that time, Brooks was clearly better than Lowry. He was far above him in almost any category. Lowry improved his three tremendously over the past few months. He's confidence is sky high right now. I think he could hit a three with his eyes closed. Brooks has been in a slump for a while, he might or might not ever return to his old. We don't know..

But at that time, Brooks was better..so I would not go to hard on those guys
