With a 40 year old deke, this team could go to western conference finals. Knock of the spurs and face either denver/portland or OKC in the next round.
It's always the same thing that kills them, lack of interior d, someone to alter shots.

Although in close games, it will 5 0n 8. Damn the Nba's elitist system.

I think the Rockets can do damage. The Rockets always play hard and can give the Spurs a run for their money. I can see the Rockets taking the Spurs to 6, maybe even 7 games. And anything can happen in a game 7.

TEXAS MUTHAF*KA THATS WHERE I STAY!!! I love our "Us against the world" attitude. Nobody believes in us, so be it. Nobody thinks we got the talent, we lack a super star. I say LET THEM THINK THAT. When we're hooping on these boys, taking them to the brink of elimination, they'll see what a young, HUNGRY team is all about. GET RED BABY!!!!!!!!!

Sorry, but we're not scaring the Spurs. Seriously? We'd be lucky to take them to 6 games. There's no way we get to game 7, not a chance.

But I'd still like to make the playoffs and watch us get beaten by them.

If by "do[ing] damage" you mean winning the championship, then yes.

Rockets are a good team, but unless the Rockets get Thabeet or someone in the paint to be a force to keep Parker, and Ginobili out of the paint, the Spurs would easily beat the Rockets in 5 games.

When Spurs really play hard and take it too the defense then it's game over, I'm pretty sure the Spurs game plan would to let them shoot outside jumpers all series.

Of course if Dragic pulls a game 3 of last years playoffs last year then of course the Rockets would win, but the Rockets only real threats of course is Scola , and Brooks, so I wouldn't be worried if I was a Spurs fan, but I would hope for some good games.

If you would have asked me this question before the All-star break, I would have laughed in your face... But now after the all-star break and I see how this team is gelling, I say that anything is possible if we are able to make it in the playoffs.

The team has finally found out their identity, and they are making some serious noise. Let's hope they make it!!!

This team is first round fodder for the number 1 seed. We should hope to win a game.

No....I see no more than 3 wins in the playoffs.

Simply don't have the size or the talent. Anybody who thinks otherwise is just fooling themselves.

3 wins in the playoffs means taking first seed to 7 games... and that's damn good.

I am just hoping for some kinda magic taking place in the playoffs. Last year, I thought Spurs will beat the hell out of Suns... but wow.. got swept by Suns.

You never know... anything can happen when you are there. Some players play their best in the playoffs...

Yea it would be a good moral victory, but who cares about moral victories. I'd rather have high draft picks.

The more likely scenario is a sweep or 1 win.

You would move from 16 to 12 in a TERRIBLE draft and tank instead of cheering for you team in the playoffs?

That team had Moses Malone in his prime.

We will need to win at least one game in SA to start out.Preferably game 1. We can't let the refs get us to a game 7 since Duncan and Parker will get the benefit. We need to come out with a thorough whipping mentality from the beginning.

2nd round I would love to play LA. I think we can beat LA, and I like the current team as much as the team(if not more) that took LA to 7 games. That LA team was better than the current LA team.

Would prefer to wait to play Dallas in the Western conference finals since by then we would be playoff ready ,and more weathered to handle Dallas. We don't match up well with Dallas ,and if NO or Portland could get rid of them for us that would be nice. In the west I am most concerned with Dallas.

As for the finals we showed we can beat boston. I would prefer to not play chicago or orlando in the finals. I think we would have a tough time against orlando.I think we could beat Miami in a finals, but I also know David Stern and the refs would give us no margin for error especially against Miami. We would have to play perfect.

Teams would prefer to not play in playoffs : Dallas , Orlando
    Teams I don't mind: San Antonio,New Orleans, Lakers,Portland,Miami

We will not have any kind of homecourt and we will have odds against us. We will have to play nearly perfect and really take charge of the series from the beginning. David Stern wants no part of us. Kobe fisher ginobli will be right there ready to fall over and we have to fight that. We play hard and that can go a long way.

Will david stern let it happen? Probably not but I hope we don't get down if we lose a game. We have a fighters chance and 8th seeds have won before. I want the Spurs real bad and I want to punch the spurs in the face. They are feces.
