Until we got Courtney Lee, In which you created a thread titled, "Courtney Lee Makes Kyle Lowry Expendable", Not "Courtney Lee Makes Aaron Brooks Expendable".

    Eat the tasty bird.

(Just as a thread reminder, this has nothing to do with Aaron Brooks. It is about the *so called fact that Kyle Lowry could not be an effective starter for the Rockets. The ignorant, simplistic and definitively stated quotes tell the whole story.)

Agreed, Lowry could not shoot to save his life when people were making these assessments. He has greatly improved his shooting since the trade deadline making him a very formidable PG

Some nice bumps by the OP but you missed some notable ones in here:

    http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=189909

The thread that really started it all.

Major props to SamFisher, Yoyo, and Wekko for calling it right. Especially Sam, who served some grade A pwnage in that thread from beginning to end. Also congratulations to DD for sewing the seeds to his demise. Some of the stuff he said in there, I don't blame him for never showing his face again.

This one wasn't too bad either:

    Hey! That is spot on!

There were far toooooo many to include. Especially from DD. This one I didn't include, for instance.

    Classic right?

Do you hear that sound? That's what chewing crow sounds like. It's a sweet silence, really.

    Hi everyone !

I certainly will freely admit to being wrong about Kyle, and in retrospect, I fell into the same trap about analyzing a young player as being unable to improve, or get better.

I have had several arguments about young players over the years, and this one is completely on me. I thought Lowry's lack of an outside shot would hinder his effectiveness, particularly in the playoffs when the ability to shoot the ball is magnified by more attention to every possession.

Lowry, however proved that with more consistent minutes he can get even better, and honestly it has been an absolute joy to watch him play this season, he is one of the smartest players on the floor I have seen, he is always one step ahead of everyone else....that has been obvious since we got him, but now that he has made himself into a quality shooter, WOW....loving every minute of it.

So, I have zero problem admitting I was wrong about Kyle, he is way better than I gave him credit for, and we as Rocket fans are lucky to have him.

I love the Rockets, anything that makes them better is fine by me.

Go ROX, GO Kyle.......and pass me that Crow's leg, I am famished !!!

    DD

Disagree with or hate DD all you want. I miss his fat middle-aged white boy passion for the Rockets, and wish he'd bring it back. Forgive him, and me, please, for being wrong about AB > KL; but that was how we felt last year.

I'm delighted with KL's play, especially his improved 3-pt shooting. After a bad start, he's gotten better and better as the season's gone along. I was worried, during his bad start, that his new contract had made him fat and lazy. Man, was I wrong! And glad to be wrong.

Poor AB. I hope he hits the reset button, works out like crazy over the summer, and resurrects his career. I'll always remember him for coming so close to destroying the Lakers.

A tsunami of spite has swept DD off this board. Which makes me think: we could all learn a lesson in civility from the Japanese. Let's all pull together for the team, rather than loot each other's shattered ego.

Come back, DaDakota. And stay classy, Clutchfans.

Were you making sniping, snide comments in every Lowry thread last year?

Some of these guys need to eat crow before we start talking about class and togetherness.

Again, this is not about Lowry being better than Brooks or vice versa. It is about the snide definitive comments about Lowry's ability. It is about the smallish group of people that thought he was starter material, and the less than unclassy backlash that they recieved.

Haha they got a lot of points proven wrong. They said chuck Hayes has zero offense, look at him now, he is great offensively, and Kyle Lowry is doing way more than what AB did last year in his MIP season..KYLE LOWRY FOR MIP!

Agreed. I sincerely hope that everything is ok with him and his family, but it's like a breath of fresh air without his incessant posting.

Edit: Haha! Well, congrats, DD....on being alive and well. Welcome back.

I can't believe the OP went to so much trouble. Too much time on his hands, I guess.

Everybody will make such mistakes. If you're really a pro, you should not even expect everybody else to be in your league. If you're not, you certainly have your own highlight reel that we could look at - if it were worth anybody's time to put it together.

I will take a moment to praise DM the GM, though. He traded for Lowry, and then gave him a big extension rather than lose him. He traded AB. He kept Lee when he didn't get his price (I personally would have traded him for any two 1st-rounders, fwiw). He picked PPatt, though we didn't have a PF shortage at the time. Impressive, I'd say.

gotta give credit where credit is due...the poster that went Regina George on Lowry's Twitter account. lol. Keep writing away during the off season so Lowry can come back and win MVP of the league.

Lowry is really embracing the role of one of the veteran leaders out there.

Not everyone makes snide comments dogging a young Kyle Lowry as a "career backup" in every thread.
There is nothing wrong, with being wrong.
There is also nothing wrong with eating crow.
There is also nothing more entertaining than reading about people being wrong, and having to eat crow.
