Sooooo...where are all the people who were saying that the Rockets' D was going to fall apart without "Uncle" Battier? Lol.
They're celebrating the fact that Brooks was traded, PP is getting more playing time, and chuck has stepped up his overall game, which has evened things out defensively. But i know you knew this already.

Indeed. u said what i want to say. i just dont understand, how one or few games can change ppl mind so dramatically. i do like what ppat did, but thinking he is ALREADY better than scola or thinking close to scola..boy..i really dont understand.
Was at the game, best game of the season that I've gone to. When Hayes took the ball from Garnett that was so God Damn EPIC!! ...excuse my language -_-
That would be the case if we were three games behind them; fortunately for us, we're only 1.5 behind them now. The ideal/instant gratification/dream scenario would be that Memphis loses its next two games (Indiana & Utah) and we beat Utah. We would then have the same record as Memphis and Utah, but we would hold both tiebreakers... I think. Anyway, we could be the 8th seed as soon as Monday night!
Tommy Heinsohn ... I don't know how the Boston Celtic fans can stand to listen to him. I mean there are homers and then there are homers.
I remember my jaw just dropping when I heard that, lol. I absolutely hate the Celtics announcers - I'm fine with the fact that they might be biased, but don't be so overly obnoxious about it.
I actually think Matt tries to be too objective to a fault at times, gets preachy about the evils of flopping and even calls out Rockets players to make his soapbox stance. Tommy Heinsohn just sounds like a senile old man, he reminds me of Johnny Most, who was the homer of homers amongst radio PBP guys (called Sampson a sissy, called Magic "Tragic Johnson"). Heinsohn was actually a decent color guy when he was on CBS in the 80's, I guess he needed to take the place of Johnny as the senile old homer guy for the Celtics.
I don't know whether you caught the Boston feed or not, but the "*******" was just the icing on the cake of a good 10 minutes of exasperation and homer exclamations. He had actually calmed down by the time he made that remark. At first I was supremely annoyed with the horrible commentating--all delivered with a Bahhstin accent no less *shudders*... but once we started handing it to the Celtics, the color commentator meltdown was hilarious.
Good win. It helped that Rondo/Celtics are hurting with losses to the Clippers, Philly, and Nets this past couple of weeks. Games against teams like Utah & GS are ones the Rockets should be winning but haven't done so.
Yeah he does at times but Tommy H. is known for probably the worst of the worst, even by some Celtics fans. That guy never quits, even if Celtics were blowing out another team.
