    I don't know, personally, I think their fries/burgers taste better than McDonalds/Burger King/Wendys/Whataburger/everything.

My wife brought this home for lunch today.

The fries were very good, but not $5 good. The burgers were kind of good, but not for the price. My wife spend $30 on 3 burgers, 2 fries and 1 drink.

For $30, I would go to Fudruckers (but not Red Robin).

What area of town are you in? I've been scouting and finding all sorts of great burgers around town this year.

Would've said Original Eats, but I hear it's closed down. I'll have to go with The Burger Guys, as it isn't too far from there. I haven't been yet, but the reviews from both friends and food critics have been overwhelmingly positive.

    Here are some reviews:

And notice the type of Dr. Pepper on tap.

I've seen this on various shows and wanted to go there just to say I've been, but it's too far a drive for one of my usual roadtrips and I really have no urge to fly to the NE. The little "portable" grilles they use to cook the burgers are the original ones I think from the early 1900's.

Along the same lines, while in Memphis, I almost went to Dyer's just to try their burgers. Something about trying a burger cooked in the same grease that was there when the establishment opened about 100 years ago.... but I didn't get time, so maybe in the future. Ok, it was the time constraint and the fact I was scared to try it.

FYI, kiddos, realize the bun in the second post above is actually a Shipley's donut.

A Five Guys just opened up here in Henderson and I have to agree with all of the sentiments of the OP. Except, I think I like Fatburger more than In-N-Out.

But, being from Texas, I'd still eat a WhatABurger any day, any time. Just a great comfort burger for me, I guess.

I've seen it and I'm really curious on whether or not its good.

I hear mixed reviews from people online.

I really want to give Whataburger a try, but they don't have them anywhere near where I live. I guess I'll have to wait until the next time I'm in Arizona.

    Five Guys Pearland

Just tried Five Guys here in Pearland this past weekend and was very disappointed. The cajun fries are good but not great. The burger itself has very little taste and we relied on the toppings and condiments for all the flavor. Definitely not worth the $20 we paid for 2 burgers and large fries!

For now Fudruckers is still the place to go in Pearland if you live closer to 288 like me. Any other suggestions in this area?

Fatty what are your thoughts on Petrol Station burgers?

For a little bar/coffeehouse in Oak Forest they do a damn good job.

Oh yea you can not go wrong with their huge selection of craft beers either.

There's a Five Guys about 3 to 5 blocks from my house. It's pretty awesome.

I don't think they're overrated at all. My wife and I can eat there for about 10 bucks. It's a great fall/winter burger joint. In the Spring, Summer, and early Fall, we have a different, 50's style burger joint near our house. We can eat outside there, they have great ice cream, and we can have our whole meal (ice cream included) for about 10 bucks.
