The game with Utah after Boston is a MUST win. Boston is going to be very tough. Our record is horrible against teams above .500.
This could happen. We do have a tough schedule, but Memphis has Utah, Boston, Chicago and San Antonio coming up. Plus we play Utah as well, so a chance to take the upper hand on them. So much rides on this Boston game.
memphis and utah, can anybody decide who to root for since a lost for either team will help us? the griz lost! hope we win tommorow.
I rather see Memphis making the playoffs, POR or NO dropping out From what I understand, Memphis need to make the playoffs twice next 4 years to meet the condition of the 1st round picks we got from them. Otherwise it will be downgraded to 2nd rounder+$3mil.
I was just watching the Portland vs Memphis game and all they are talking about is Phoenix and how they are in the mix. Port commentator: The Phoenix are right there in the playoff run and also Utah Other guy: Yeah they get excited everytime memphis loses and they have been winning alot of games. Utah also has been doing well. Port guy: Lets look at the standings; Utah 1 game behind they have been playing well. Houston 2 games behind. So they think Phoenix and Utah are bigger threats to the WC playoff race huh?
I find it interesting that Hollinger's Playoff odds show the Rockets having 1.6% of making the finals and 0.5 % of either winning a title or winning the lottery. It especially makes one feel you have a chance when you realize that means 80 out of 5000 times the Rockets would make the NBA Finals, and 25 of those times they would win. Everyone seems focused on Memphis, but don't overlook this possibility. The Hornets are 39-29, but have a brutal schedule ahead. ALL of their last 14 games are against playoff contenders, with the easiest one April 3 at home against Indiana. New Orleans could very conceivably nosedive and open another playoff spot.
I think you need to Put NO schedule instead of Portland. No way we catch Portland. Their damn good team and have been playing well. It's Memphis or NO.
