Only radical Muslims double post without acknowledging that they're double posting

Based on what I have seen, I have to agree with FranchiseBlade.

Making progress, but I’m not quite there yet. It appears that this kind of thing is handled by the Ministry of the Interior, and in particular by something called the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution. I have an email to their general inquiry address inquiring about who specifically to contact about this kind of issue, and I will post that email address and any associated instructions when I get them.

As a side note, there are some interesting sections on these web pages. There is definitely a lot of talk about Islamism, but a section like this shows the clear difference between what they’re saying and what ATW is saying.
ATW believes that the whole Muslim faith is bad and inherently violent. He is preaching hate about an entire indefinable group, and he’s using lies, double standards, spin, and other manipulative tricks to do it. This, and the level of his obsession, are what make him a hatemonger and an extremist, and not someone who is legitimately concerned about extremism.

Good find Mathloom. There is absolutely no doubt that this is what ATW is doing. Whether or not they can get a conviction is a separate question, but there is no doubt that ATW’s actions on this forum demand that we report him to the German police. Imo it’s not even close.

This is probably true, similar to one of his heroes Geert Wilders who has been facing legal difficulties for using the same approach of tip-toeing around hate speech and accusing everyone who disagrees with him of being biased.

    Hey giddyup,

You were saying it seems more like puzzlement than hatred. Here you go.

Hatred: Calling someone a Nazi and Hitler, ridiculously trying to silence someone by making frivolous claims about wanting to "report the person to the police".

Puzzlement: Expressing one's puzzlement about people like you and FranchiseBlade who jump on the bandwagon of people who do the above.

You’ve raised some very good points to think about. I think there are different kinds of racism and extreme bigotry. As you say, I think most racism and bigotry comes from ignorance. Most North Americans don’t know many, or perhaps any, Muslims, and they don’t know very much about Islam either. When extremists who are nominally Muslim commit crimes in the name of Islam many of them become confused and afraid. But after they actually get to know some real Muslims, however, and get to know something about real Islam, that fear disappears. They come to understand that Muslims are real people, and they understand that the extreme elements in Islam are much like the extreme elements in Christianity. There are a lot of parallels between Islam and Christianity in this regard, in fact.

However, I think people like ATW, some extreme KKK types, Hitler and much of the Nazi leadership, etc., fit into a very different category. ATW is educated and intelligent. He knows better than to say or believe the things he’s saying, but his mind is so corrupted by hate, and his obsession has become so extreme, that he can no longer think rationally. How someone gets to this point is a mystery to me, however. There are probably people like this in Islam as well, educated and intelligent people who have become obsessed with an irrational hatred of Christianity and Christians. Do you know of any of these people, and if so how does Islam deal with them?

If I still believed that I would go that route, but I no longer do. This kind of racism I think needs to be dealt with in a strong manner. There’s a reason why Germany’s hate laws are as strong as they are, and ATW is showing us why. He is a German and what he’s doing here is why these German laws exist. He's unlikely to be a lone wolf, btw. He probably has a group of friends who share his beliefs.

Have you seen me making frivolous claims of reporting Grizzled to the police?

Have you seen me call him a Nazi or Hydhypedplaya Hitler?

    Nope.

I think you may have missed some posts in this thread. The German laws apply to German citizens who post on internet sites that are accessible in Germany. Neither the poster nor the site have to be in Germany. There was a case referred to in an earlier post about a German living in Australia who was running and anti-Semitic site. In this case ATW is posting from Germany, iirc, and that puts him right in their jurisdiction. I'm no expert in German law and I don't know if they'll be able to convict him, but the level of his obsession is alarming and I have no doubt that they'll want to know about him at the very least. They take this kind of thing very seriously there.

Grizzled is not doing anything remotely illegal. It's his right to pursue this thing, whether we agree with it or not. I don't know why you have a problem with that or are offended.

Also, you have likened those guys to terrorists in the past, once again tip-toeing on the line.

I do give you props for not calling two non-white Muslims who you consider to be extremists "Nazis". I'll give you that. Well done.

In fact, he has been calling me a Nazi and compared me to a KKK member. As he has been quoting German law, this would fulfill § 185 StGB (insult paragraph of German criminal code, there have been plenty of cases of people having been punished for calling others Nazis or Hitler). But you don't see me making ridiculous claims that I would run to some authorities over someone doing something like that on a freaking message board. It says a lot about you that you would apparently not see how ridiculous it is what he does.

But hey, why should one be surprised, you have done it, too (contrary to what you claimed here).

    You are two-faced.

Reminds me of you saying you wanted the cartoonist to live in fear for the rest of his life over a cartoon and then later backtracking/pretending that you don't really want that.

I think you just need to improve your English. A cultural neo-nazi is not a nazi.

Keep grasping that last straw though.

Not sure where you meant to go with this; aren't these remarks made about Grizzled after several truly hateful things posted by him about ATW? It has nothing to do with Islam...

I was using puzzlement to describe your concern about the ability of radical Muslims to hijack that faith around the world (pun intended) and wreak havoc on innocents.

The radical Christian analogues like Lambs of God and Westboro Baptist Church don't even begin to compare. The Crusades ended centuries ago.
