Random, but I thought it was an interesting question: Assume that you are able to sacrifice your own life to save the lives of others. You would not know any of the people who you would save. How many people would you be willing to die for? 2? 50? 1,000? 0?
More than 10, there has to be at least someone in there that is at least equal to me in terms of value to soceity.
Well I figured most people would die for their family, that's why I tried to specify that you would not know any of the people you saved. Off the wall question, I guess I've been watching 24 too much lately.
If there was a scenario where you would have to trade your own life to save the world... Then I guess everyone?
I'm over 40, over 300lbs and have an alcohol problem. Realistically I may have 20 or 25 years....though I have no objection to another 50 should the cards fall that way. I'm just now coming into my own as a writer though, and I would hate to miss a chance to hone my craft. I also have a really neat new fiancee, and I'd like a chance to at least give married life a shot. I'm gonna say 5, any more would be the height of selfishness on my part.
Is that a trick question? lol I think the OP Said how many people/lives would you die for... Meaning your life is sacrificed to save others..
You said would you die for the world to be saved? If the world wasn't saved, wouldn't you die with it?
10+ people if I let them die and I live, I will be so F'd up psychologically for the rest of my life that I won't even enjoy it, so what's the point. But on one condition it is a quick and relatively painless death, no suffering for like 30 minutes. and also I would let those people I save to rectify a statue of my likeness in their living room that they bow down to everyday
