You're sent back into mid-late 18th century Europe, roughly 1770. It's the middle of the Classical period in music and the Romantic period is going to come by the end of the century. You'll be living in the time of such musical greats as Mozart, Beethoven, and Chopin. You've been a r****d all your life and you have no skills to which you can make a living save one. For some reason, you've been a musical prodigy all your life. At the time you were pulled back, you were carrying the instrument/s of your choice and, in the case of electrical equipment, an amplifier and solar panel that could last your lifetime. What music would you play, barring you plagiarize the musicians of that era their music? Would you simply relish the opportunity to outdo the greats at their own genre? Or would you try to rock it out with music from the 80's? How about some 90's pop or techno?
I'll teach them how to Dougie <iframe title="YouTube video player" width="480" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/HY9uZWCh4go" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
None. Would attempt to sell technology, move to America, and try to get in Thomas Jefferson's inner circle so that he is more detailed in his Bill of Rights.
I would sing this song and sing it exactly like this chick: <iframe title="YouTube video player" width="640" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/CD2LRROpph0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Manny, I watched that whole video...it was so bad, I couldnt stop. I cant believe thats really a song.
Depends on the time period. "Kind of Blue" Miles wouldn't be a cacophony. "Kind of Blue" Coltrane would. "Live at the Plugged Nickel" Miles would too. I think Mozart would dig most jazz. A lot of jazz vocabulary is based on things Mozart wrote.
