You can see the changes in his game in a different system and working with Nash. Pull up two-pointers that he nails with ease, getting the little pic and pulling up inside the 3-point line. That's Nash. Nash shoots something like 60% on those midrange shots, same thing as shooting 40% from 3. Brooks will be able to duplicate that. IF...he learns how to keep his dribble like Nash does, he's got a chance to be a much better player.

he's learning a lot of nash, he actually shoots those mid-range jumpers, settles less for the 3. I like it, still like the trade for the Dragon though

They knew Brooks could do that when they traded him. It's not like they thought he was a bust.

If I remember correctly, Brooks gave up on the Rockets first.

I love Aaron, but he showed signs of apathy this season. He wanted to get traded, and we traded him. It's sort of a win-win move for both parties.

Nice crossover at 56 seconds... there's definitely changes in his game influenced by Nash...he's going to have trouble though until they can find a big man threat to take some pressure off. Must be nice to hear the coach tell you to shoot as much as you want. They seem to have a lot of confidence in him. Possibly best case scenario for him to get back on track, but Nash needs to go next season or back up for him to keep improving. I'm not sure that'll happen.

I cant see how Nash will influence his game so early in 6 weeks

its more the system than nash and AB is an above average pick and roll point gaurd .. we dont run as half as many pick and rolls as phoenix do .. I expect him to get back to were he was even better if he stays and takes over Nash

Exactly. I wish Aaron the best but the dude was giving a hissy fit all season long about not starting. We would have won at least 5 more games if not for Brooks purposedly dragging us down this season. As much as I like him and have defended him in the past, he pulled a mini-Mac on us.

And his team loses. There is a very good reason why the Suns win most of their games even when Nash doesn't score much, and let me give our folks a hint, it is not scoring from the pg position.

Well you can say Nash had some influence on the system. Nash is the system in a way. If brooks is learning from watching nash, then he's being influenced by both. I don't think 6 weeks is too soon at all, especially when he's been on the bench watching him for a significant amount of time during games.
