Doesn't seem like a big deal to me. It's like telling an employee they're doing a great job and deserve a raise and they reply the same thing. It's just a way to acknowledge they agree, which they should because it's suggestion that benefits them.

His attitude was probably due to hearing that over and over and just being tired of it.

I think it's time to trade Scola and a package for a big time center. Chris Kaman is someone to keep your eyes on. I think If Patterson plays that kind of defense, then next year we will be significantly better. We actually had a rim protector last night and it showed at the end because when Pat was in the lane the spurs struggled because they were altering their shots.

I still don't get how a player that wasn't even in the rotation gets inserted into the starting lineup. Ya Hill scored 8 points but he easily gave that up on D, lack of defensive rebounding, and excessive fouling esp when we were already in the penalty.

Scola should teach PatPat the Argentinian tango and scoop. That would make PatPat even more dangerous.

A Center should be the priority this offseason...Kaman would be very good to be paired with PP...if we get DeAndre Jordan, he would be good to be paired with Scola...if Hayes is still our C next season, Les better fire DM asap.

Did "Patterson" appear to have a bigger lower lip than usual? I am thinking you might have mistaken Terrence Williams for him.

So now fans are becoming worst than reporters by speculating things....

So now you're assuming that you know how Patt is feeling... Interesting.....

Well Assumption is the Mother of All F - Up's...

PPatt shouldn't be too pissed. It's not like his role won't be expanded over time. It's still the end of his first season.

I didn't catch last night's game, but I did notice that Hill had the team's top +/- : zero. And mark my words; there's a 50% chance they dump Thabeet before next season. They will have to decide on two seasons' re-signings before they will probably get to take him to camp.

Hill is frustrating, but the coaching staff seems to like him much more than CF.

Lots of people come to mind. Eddy Curry. Bison Dele. John Amaechi. Michael Olowokandi. And a whole bunch of other guys who didn't give a damn about basketball but happened to be really tall.

If Scola is playing, Hill isn't even in the rotation. The only reason Hill is starting is because Adelman doesn't want there to be a huge dropoff when he goes to the second unit. He figures the rest of the starting group is strong enough to make up for Hill's mistakes.

Going small plays into the Rockets' hands. The one who should be criticized for going small is Popovich, not Adelman. You allow the Rockets to put their best players on the floor by going small. This seems like it should be obvious to me.

Also, I don't know why anyone still responds to roswellian about anything related to Adelman. Exercise in futility.

Agree, who goes small ball against the Rockets. That's just stupid.

But since Popovich is not a stupid coach, when he did it, I thought he decided to use this game as a practice for the playoffs. (Why not with home court almost certainly a lock.) It was like he wanted to get some practice time in going against a really good small ball team.

I mean, McDyess was killing us on the boards. Why take him out?

I don't understand the negative responses and one star ratings. Little soundbites and quotes directly from the players are part of what makes this board special. If anything, we should be thankful and grateful for even having this information.

Couldn't agree more. Kudos to the OP for thinking to ask Pat the question. Maybe Patterson was ticked off that Adelman took him out late in the game. I know I was, and I'm an Adelman fan.

negative rating isn't for the OP, its for the topic. Same thing when someone posts the annual "Yao broke his leg, we're done" thread, the rating is 1 star but everyone is thankful to the OP for breaking the news.

That's an abuse of the rating system, then.

Ratings should be for the quality of the thread, not how happy/sad this topic makes you.

Thanks guys.. I should've known ppl here would get pissed off just because someone posted something a player said to them.. never did I say I was speculating, in fact I said its not a big deal. If Pat said this to an interviewer or said it to one of u, yall would post it. If anything you should be happy that this was something different side from the boring old threads and answers in generic routine interviews.. but whatever I'm done tryna explain to people because i know it wont make a difference, they'll still keep making a big deal out of nothing.. get a life guys, I just thought I'd post this to share my experience.. this is NOT A THREAD OF ME SPECULATING, just sharing for you guys to discuss.. anyways lock it up if it bothers people that much.. smh

This is exactly why Adelman should be replaced next season.
