Op did you make this thread because Les said he would trade Bill for a 2nd round pick in 2030? You know he was joking right?

Next year Van Chancelor and Deke for all home games, the sound of a coffee grinder and a baby seal being clubbed for away games.

Dikembe would be the best color commentator ever.

I agree, we are so lucky to have Bill.

He is one of the top commentators out there.

When it was bill and calvin I can honestly say I thought one of the best crews in the NBA. Calvin would call plays before they happen and in general they weren't total homers.

With Bullard, Bill goes into home mode, and with drexler he goes into protective mode.

And Ack he doesn't seem to give you the score sometimes. Considering the rockets only have one radio guy it kind of sucks.

O.K., Marv Albert is pretty good, but I love Bill. He is Rocket's basketball.

Bill is outstanding, and I hope he does the Rockets broadcast until they wheel him off to a nursing home. Clyde? I love Drex, but broadcasting isn't his game.

    Bring back Calvin!!

Been watching Bill for almost 20 years...pretty much my entire existence as a Rockets fan. Of course I don't want to see him go.

I'm a Bill Worrell fan. He's definitely a homer and that can get a bit much at times, but I also like how he calls out the team or individual players when warranted. And I love how he has never lost his excitement level when the Rockets do something great.

I wish the Rockets could/would get Jeff Van Gundy as the color man. That would be incredible. I'm sure he's going to be in higher demand as a coach (especially with the league seeing what Tom Thibodeau has done).

Bill has regressed some but I wouldn't want to replace him just yet. He still does a good job and I wouldn't take the risk of getting a whole new broadcasting crew just yet unless Worrell calls it quits.

Yes, that would be incredible. I'm much more a fan of Jeff Van Gundy, the commentator, than I ever was of Van Gundy, the coach of the Rockets, not that he was a bad coach. Anyone following a legend in Rudy T was facing a tough row to hoe, and Jeff was (and still is) a tremendous defensive coach. I seriously doubt that he'd take the gig, however. Having said that, Clyde only does home games... come on, Jeff! You know you want to spend more time with your family!

I like JVG commentating. Imagine having the ESPN commentators for every single Houston Rockets game.

I think Les is going to have to pay him in $2 bills to get him back.

I hope NOT! All three Musketeers -- Worrell, Drexler, and Bullard - need to go. They are an insult to all basketball fans.
