This. How can any human take the life of a child, much less a baby. I don't care what side of any argument you're on, whoever did that is an animal and needs to be put down.

Baruch Goldstein is popular with certain segments of the Israeli population. I am not really sure why some of you guys are thinking this sort of stuff is limited to the Palestinians.

You'll have to forgive me for being somewhat skeptical about the above reports. I'm not saying its untrue...just that there's a possibility its been exaggerated to serve a political means. The following site is the only one I was able to find any pictures on:
    http://www.viciousbabushka.com/2011...-celebrating-the-murder-of-jewish-infant.html

You'll notice that all three pictures are of the exact same person passing out sweets. There's also nothing there to suggest that those people are taking sweets in celebration of the attack. And unless there's any evidence to the contrary, I'm going to guess that the word 'candy' was intentionally used to insinuate children were running the streets in joy following the said terrorist attack.

The attack was egregious, and should be roundly condemned. I sincerely pray the perpetrators of the attack are brought to justice. But inflating the event and playing the victim is beneath them and does little to the legacy of those who were lost. I may be wrong, and in the coming days if photos are released showing crowds of people in the streets celebrating this attack, then I'll stand with everyone else condemning the deplorable conduct of the Palestinians, but knowing the nature of the conflict, I think its better for people on both sides of the isle to exhibit a little more prudence before jumping to disseminate any story that fits their personal narratives of the conflict....

Bleh seriously, how did one person handing out food get warped into "mass celebration"? Internet news sure are reliable

A friend of mine wrote about the reaction by the Israeli far-left and Arab liberal friends and he was appalled, and called them out as hypocrites.

You can read it here...it's quite long (so I won't quote it here) and it got the attention of local columnists from several different papers who praised it.

If you read it...and the comments after you can see how it works. Everyone is more interested in defending their political "cause" than they are a human life, no matter what their politics are. It's more important that their "side" is right.

Just an example of how there are sick people everywhere, and how someone could potentially paint a large picture using a selective brush. Not surprised that someone in Palestine did that, but find it ridiculous to believe its widespread.

Wait, where in article does it bring up religion? You do realize there are Palestinian christians and israeli muslims, this is a political/regional issues and despite your beliefs, the arabic world does not equal the muslim world. Its literally like arguing with a 5 year old who is just stuck on what he saw, you and ATW have the most elementary logic and ignorance its almost pointless to break through your little skulls. I am sure back in the 50s you would be among the masses saying blacks are not equal because look at them and talk to them, they are just different. The generation before that you would be saying the same about women and whatever other racial, gender, or group that was outcasted at the time in America and was just stereotyped to be different or that the nazis did on the jews. Eventually time and education healed things and hopefully this will be the case for this, but the basic, elementary logic that you use here...well, I just can't help but feel pity and sadness for you and your closed mind

Stealing land again, according to some because of the actions of one murderer:

This is what the lives of 5 Israelis is worth to the Israeli government. 500 new housing units. I wonder how Israelis feel about the government assigning this value to their lives.

i wonder how the rest of the rational world feels about you attributing the value of one infant life in housing units?

I'm going to upgrade my skepticism at this point and say that I'm almost certain that this story has been grossly over-exaggerated. It's extremely conspicuous that any search across the internet wont render any picture aside from the three I posted previously. Beyond that, the pictures themselves are extremely questionable- its not an aerial shot of people 'pouring' into the streets, nor does it interject any context into the situation...in fact, there's lots there to suggest that the entire thing may have been nothing more than a charade, choreographed in order to further inflame an already sensitive situation in the aftermath of the Itimar tragedy.

Is it possible that you (basso) got so excited by the prospect of this news story substantiating your worldview of how 'barbaric' Palestinians/Muslims are, that you made zero effort to corroborate or perform even a basic internet search to validate the veracity of it?

Logical error in there. If they were rational, educated people, they would see that I disagree with attributing values like this to human life.

You could be asking one of two things.

How would crazies feel about me attributing..

    or

How would rational people feel about me being disgusted by those who are attributing..

I am sorry but were you seriously expecting him to validate his "search"?! Now that is fresh!

I am assuming you are new here and not aware of his embarrassing history on this forum?
