Could be something like what was similar in the early iPhone 4 models, where after the adhesive of a new unit settled it just went away. Or it could be a bad batch that Apple will replace for you. Either way, something to keep an eye on.

Looks like a lot of places are selling out, though apparently some of the Apple Stores already got restocked with some units Saturday. Probably going to be one of those things where you'll just have to check all the places - Apple Store, Target, Walmart, Best Buy, etc. - regularly just to happen to catch a shipment. At least, in the first few weeks (or months) I'd imagine.

Probably going to be awhile. My wife and I left town for Spring Break and headed to NE Tennessee to visit family. While on the way, we stopped in at random Best Buys, WalMart, etc. to check and see if they had any in stock. I'm not kidding when I tell you that they were sold out even in the smallest, "hickest" of little towns. It's crazy.
Like I said. You apple people get so worked up over the fact that you pay more for less. I could care less if you made fun of what I purchased. I purchase best for the money. So you honestly agree with the posts of this Hak34 person. Color me surprised. I thought you had more going on upstairs than that, CaseyH. This is coming from someone who used a lot of restraint replying to the fellow, who is insulting anyone who buys an Apple product. I'm typing this from a powerful PC in my study, one using Windows, and couldn't care less about the brand as long as it does what I desire it to do. If it does those things with a high build quality and a price I can afford, the style and panache is just a bonus.

You realize the Xoom is 800 bucks, right? I think you should educate yourself on tablets before you start typing. The iPad 2, as of right now, is easily among the best, if not the best, tablet on the market. I have never owned any apple computers and I'm not a fanboy.
