As usual the facts regarding the video are wrong.

    http://www.outsidethebeltway.com/a-contrarian-view-of-the-new-black-panther-case/

It would be better to look into the facts rather than jump to conclusions.

The district where these guys were was an overwhelmingly black voting area that had supported Democrats for years. Why would someone wanting to help Obama intimidate voters that were going to vote for Obama if they truly supported Obama?

There is no proof one person was even intimidated and kept from voting there.

Facts: The man in the video admits to not supporting Obama. (that's really the most relevant fact there is)

Facts: Most voters who might have been intimidated would be Obama supporters.

Facts: There is no proof anyone at all was intimidated.

    1. The guy in the video admits

The New Black Panthers ENDORSED Obama. The quote is from an Obama spokesman saying we removed the endorsement.

Endorse - Declare one's public approval or support of.

How can you get more definitive proof that the New Black Panthers support Obama? Did you want a picture of Obama sharing a milkshake with some New Black Panthers? The mental gymnastics you liberals do..........

The man in the video YOU posted has admitted he didn't support Obama. Do you need an actual statement from him saying that he doesn't support Obama? Oh that's right there was one.

The refusal to look at actual facts by conservatives...

So we seem to be on the same page. That this comment is completely incorrect:

Now you are claiming that the two guys holding billy clubs outside the voting both, dressed as New Black Panthers, which is a group that has endorsed Obama, are not intimidating voters in support of Obama? Your wrong, but fine. So what? Meaningless debate because we have proven that rtsy's comment was correct that New Black Panther's support Obama.

You are right that the group The new Black Panthers endorsed Obama. You're wrong that the people in the video you posted were supporters of Obama.

I made the generalization that because I knew the guys in the video weren't supporters of Obama that the New Black Panthers as a group didn't support Obama. I was wrong.

You were wrong in that you figured because the group the New Black Panthers supported Obama the guys in the video must support Obama. You were wrong.

The facts are there, and we should be both not be afraid of looking at them and recognizing them as facts.

    Who honestly gives a f***?

For example, David Duke is running for Republican Party primaries under the guise of the tea party. AKA, David Duke, arrested for denying the Holocaust, active advocate of white superiority, former Grand Wizard of the KKK---

there's always going to be crazies, and given the limited options out there, crazies have to endorse something.

    1. Trying to draw any kind of equivalence between the Panther situation and Tea Party voters supporting this guy is illogical.

I am criticizing Tea Party people for supporting a candidate who publicly inhumane Nazi views about r****ded people (and being 91 years old doesn't excuse that) and admits to be confused by the legislative process (one would think that a candidate for the legislature would prepare for that job even before he started campaigning for it).

There is no equivalence between that and Obama having some wacky supporters (if they do support Obama). Obama can't control who supports him, whether they are Panthers or whatever, and has never supported any extreme views expressed by such people (unlike certain Republican public figures who, at best, equivocates in the face of the Birthers and Glenn Beck conspiracists). Tea Party voters, on the other hand, could decide whom they support, and they decided to vote for this idiot.

    2. I am not familiar with the New Black Panther ideology. Can somebody explain? Do they support executing the mentally ill and mentally r****ded? Besides dressing up in silly uniforms what exactly do they do?

Smart move by rtsy derailing this thread making it about Obama, and Obama supporters while not commenting on the actual topic.

That guy is an idiot. I cannot believe anybody would support his crazy ideas.

They are all about a violent revolution against the white man. I don't know if they pay lip service to Dr. King, but they certainly are not about non-violent resistance and the dream of a colorblind society.

I used to really like that show; only lasted for a few episodes stateside. Dude's related to the actor Justin Theroux.

As I recall, after interviewing the crazies for laughs for much of it, the episode ended with him being challenged by Sharpton for not standing up for what he believed.

Theroux wound up handcuffed & arrested at a protest rally, side-by-side with Sharpton. It was strangely moving.

He's a role model for me, great documentaries. They're all on youtube, you can watch em all. I've literally diverted my career plan thanks to watching his documentaries.

Seriously. We're only talking about the Black Panthers because rtsy is attempting to say Obama was elected by young black male child-rapists. You're going to dignify his post with a serious discussion about the endorsement of the Black Panthers? Seriously? I don't expect anything better from tallanvor, but FB....

As for the idiotic rep -- that's democracy for you; you get what you asked for.

I don't think this reflects poorly on Republicans - especially considering Sara Palin and her down syndrome baby as the biggest defender of "special needs" folks.

This guy is 91 years old. That's why he says this stuff. That said, based on his comments, and his letter to the editor - he shouldn't be serving in gov't.

If age is an excuse, fine, but then he needs to retire.

Thank you, at least a small semblance of consideration...The guy is older than 96.8% of the worlds population...This thread is poor. I've seen better examples to scoreboard than this (though it has been a while).

btw, he should retire,...however if he grabs a rifle and lifts it while proclaiming: "from my cold, dead hands. . .", then he can stay on forever in my book.

If age is an excuse, fine, but it isn't an excuse for the people that elected him.
