Every time you start to get wrapped up in petty personal issues, God reaches out and smacks you with reality.

    Praying for..well, everyone.

Kinda worried about my family right now.

The news report mentioned where they live in California specifically. They are only 8 miles off the coast and 94 feet above sea level.

94 feet should be enough, even in Sendai the highest wave was about 30 feet high.

bullardfan and Chamillionaire, thanks for checking in. very glad everyone is safe, and your family too Kojiru.

Yikes, yikes, yikes. Trying to figure out what's going to happen in SF. Probably not much. But Mrs. B-Bob is supposed to go to work, one block from the Bay, like 2-3 feet above sea level. Hrmmm. Two hours until the first effects get here.

EDIT: Sorry, clearly not worried about SF like one would be about Japan. Just sharing the local practical conversation. It's a global event. thoughts and prayers for Japan!

Between 200 to 300 bodies found in Japanese coastal city of Sendai, the Kyodo news agency reports.

Wow, watching all of this this morning freaked me out. I've never seen anything like that. Many, many thoughts and prayers to everyone over there. This is just insane.
