i do expect out of lebron. i do think he is the only player who can match jordan's legacy. obviously right now, he has a lot of work to do. but if he doesn't step his game up in terms of elevating chris bosh's play and so on, i'll be disappointed.

i think comparing him to kobe is not logical. lebron has been better than him for the past 3 years, and he has always done more for his team. i expect more out of lebron. it the heat don't reach the finals at least this year, i'll be very disappointed.

it's time to put up or shut up for lebron. right now, it's not the playoffs yet. and homecourt doesn't appear to matter for the heat (their homecourt advantage sucks anyways). lebron needs to start DOING MORE.

You bashed Wade almost every time Heat lost, or they had a close game. LeChoker had plays for him when the game was on the line the last few games and he choked them all, you didn't complain about it and talked about how he got them back to have a chance at the buzzer. In reality, Wade had 3 straight baskets and FT to keep them in the game when Bulls made a run in 4th quarter the other day and you didn't say a word about it.

Lakers lost 19 times this year and how many times I've put it Gasol? If you are the man you take the blame no matter what. Heat are locked to win less than last year's Cavs already and you eat all the crow of how they'd dominate with all these talents.

Regarding the bet, I'll pay once MVP voting is out. I don't live on food stamp like Clippy and I don't break my words for $100.

    1) i destroyed lebron for the last game vs the bulls. he choked on that layup period.
    2) wade has had way more bad games than lebron this year. and i've criticized him for that.

i dont know why you have to wait until the MVP votes are out. bron will have more votes (he won't this year consider his team's recent play). and the cavs won't get 20 wins. you can pay now.

how is he the only one that can match MJ's legacy? I'd say at this point, Durant and Rose have just as good of a chance as lebron does. (which is likely for any of them)

20 years from now, Kobe will still be the closest to MJ out of current NBA Players.

Lebron has to develop a GREAT jump shot at some point. This is his 8th season of hardcore drive the basket basketball. He does not have a post game. How much did a post game help Kobe? Exactly.

Is this a joke or are you really that clueless? Just in the playoffs last year Kobe shot two airballs on final shots, only to be bailed out by Gasol and then Artest. In the Phoenix series where the Lakers choked their 3-1 lead, in Game 6 Kobe shot an airball against Marion that would have avoided OT (where the Lakers lost). The guy is a chucker who takes terrible shots against double-teams so of course he's going to airball time and time again.

A bet is a bet, I see no reason to pay before the result is out.
If you feel insecure, I can pay $50 once Cavs lost 63 games.

What an amazing day i've had thus far. Class got canceled, so I've spent my entire afternoon watching college hoops and I get to finish off my night with the Heat-Lakers & Knicks-Mavs!

Kobe didn't hit every clutch shots, but he hit enough of them. The stat was 4 out 8 in playoff from 04 to 07. He hit two of them in game 4 of Suns series, and no, he didn't airball the one what Gasol put back and he was doubled in both situation. You always have bad memory.

We don't know that. LeBron and Durant both could break the all-time scoring record. Multiple titles are likely for both in the future (remember that MJ didn't win #1 until he was 28).

Kobe has had an amazing career but he has done nothing to pull away from MJ. MJ has much better numbers and there is no hope of Kobe surpassing those averages. MJ has more titles and many more Finals MVPs (whether fair or not, the "second fiddle" label Kobe got during the 1st three-peat will always factor into his accomplishments, even though MJ himself would have been second fiddle with Shaq).

History is a funny thing, though, in that it is sort of accepted that MJ is the best all-time player. Personally, I thought he was very good but has become more overrated as time has gone on-- likely by people who never really watched him. He was a dominant scorer with a very good team during a weak era. As much as I hate Kobe, I think he's a very comparable player to MJ, and both are below Magic & Bird and well below dominant centers like Kareem, Wilt, and Shaq (who impact the game far more than swingmen). I also expect to put LeBron there when all is said and done-- so far his numbers are elite but his career has been too short to make a true judgment.

don't let age get in the way. It's all about NBA Seasons

    MJ won during his 7th

    this is Lebron's 8th

Lebron won't be playing when he is 36

Yeah, you're right, he didn't airball the Gasol shot.. just bricked it. But he wasn't doubled. So actually that wasn't that bad of a shot. It was pretty typical of Kobe's career though: bailed out by a teammate time and time again!

Kobe is 32 and leaving his prime. Imagine if his jump shot was as bad as Lebron's at this age?

no. but as far as how you can rate guys in their primes.

Lebron might only be 26, but he has already played 8 NBA seasons. (after this year)

It is an open question as to whether age or mileage is more of a factor. I don't see any reason why Kobe or LeBron couldn't play into their mid 30s, barring major injury. By that time, both could contend for all-time scoring records.

Well, you can make all the bold claims you want but you don't really know. It would have been easy to make the same statements about a young MJ, who got all of his points at the hoop, averaged huge numbers, and couldn't win titles.

MJ always had a great jump shot. Lebron has never proved that he is a MJ/Kobe jump shot. That is why i think he will struggle when the lane is taken away from him in about 5 years.

This is terribly ironic coming from one of the biggest trolls on this board... but I guess that was probably your intention.
