Not good enough to contend, for sure.

Good enough to make the playoffs, IF everything lined up. Actually, I take that back. Good enough to make the playoffs, as long as EVERYTHING didn't line up against us. Unfortunately that seems to be the case.

WHAT GOOD ARE YOUR STINKIN STATS NOW MOREY?????

    EDIT:

There is no irony whatsoever. It is ****ing tragic though.

God's hoping it will discourage mormons from knocking on his door?

How did they know about Yao's feet when he had never been injured until the fourth year of his NBA career?

Heard numerous times since Yao's injury issues started that Yao's feet were a question of debate but they were willing to take the risk given his potential.

I'll look for an article that I read once talking about this. I didn't mean to say they knew the guy would break down but they had an idea that something might happen eventually.

The House of Moreyenious is stained with mediocrity. It must attain a Bringer of Rings before any of us shall witness the glory of victory in the Primus again.

The House of Moreyenious is stain with blood and **** as the gods send one after another of our warriors to the Medicus! A Bringer of Rings would break both knees before he sees the light of the Primus. All hope is lost. We are cursed.

Because everyone who ever played the game at 7'5" or taller had an NBA career that saw significantly limited minutes by the age of 30 and retirement in the early-30's. And none of those players logged the kind of minutes Yao did in the NBA, not to mention the time he spent playing in China. These injuries were to be expected for a man of that size.

Listen to this interview with orthopedic surgeon, Kenneth First, here in Houston http://kilt.cbslocal.com/2010/12/16/...-3/#more-28230

what he says towards the end is: look at "super-bigs" who've played the game before. incredible how early they break down. due to super size and the pounding on the court. exceed body limits at that height and size. bodies not designed to do this at this force...hoops not designed for guys at this size under the number of games and minutes they play. body engineering issue.

I do agree with you to some sort. It just seems like everytime we are on the brink (not just including this year) something happens prohibiting us from our goals.
Even this year, on our chase for the playoffs, it seems like everything we need to happen happens the opposite way. Yesterday, Utah and NO came back to win, Utah with a final second tip-in and NO with a 8-0 run in the final seconds.

Memphis has won against three of the Top teams,

We really need Den to win this game tonight. Its alot of games left so I am not giving up, but dang these situations are starting to feel a little familar.

Orlando had lost three of four, most recently a 123-120 overtime defeat at Golden State on Friday night, but the Magic dominated Nash-less Phoenix in a stifling third quarter

Nash missed the game with "pelvic instability." Coach Alvin Gentry said his star point guard probably also will miss Monday night's game at Houston.

I betcha that Nash will somehow suit up and put up 20 20 (assist) and destroys us on a back to back or perhaps other unknown scrubs or brooks will light us up -_-

Why cant we cant a break ......

You can't count on that though. That is partly Daryl being very good at his job and part luck. There is nothing you can do if the players you covet are taken before you. And there is no guarantee that a player the Rockets want will be available again at 14.

What makes you think that getting swept in the first round would be a better fate for this team than some ping pong balls in the lottery?

I hate to inform everyone that the Jazz are one of 30 teams with Mormon fans.
