Your priority is to defend your boy through thick and thin. This season is a lost cause. How much noise will we actually make even if sneak into the playoffs? Forgive me for being excited about getting the better player in the trade. And getting a first round pick while we were at it :)

Btw, Worrell actually said Dragic owns Brooks. I didn't make that up.

Your only proving my case, as you keep talking about me defending brooks, as all I argued against was the treatment he got. If what I think and how brooks plays gives you some solace, by all means stay course.

I'm referring to the fact he did it while AB was on our team. Everybody was rooting for the players on the "Rockets" yesterday. Some just found more meaning in carrying their hate on.

I don't think you were a fan of McGrady when he was on the team, so why do you think you have the right to call other posters out for disliking Brooks behavior?

And for that matter, there are more reasons to be disappointed at Brooks than at the other hated ex-Rocket.

Umm that's bc he was dragging the team down like a mug. And don't bring up hating. You have been very insulting to many posters.

    i wasn't a fan of mcgrady...?

i was actually one of the biggest. And one of his biggest critics once i caught on to his bull****. Mcgrady's repeated transgressions earn him that title, theres a reason that everybody around the league and from 4 different teams seems to have a certain opinion about the guy.that being said, it seems he has finally changed face. He seems to have learned to keep that mouth shut with all that drama in detroit, and he deserves better than what that idiot coach is doing.

And you claiming that there are more reasons to be disappointed is laughable. Lets see. One plays a fraction of his games here, took about 20 mil a year, started drama, and took us nowhere in 5 yrs.

On the other hand, one was the biggest reason (yao was mostly ineffective after being fronted otherwise I'd say him) we won our first post season series and nearly won another. In his 4 year tenure can you recall any other incident, and for that one incident aren't a string of underlying factors that led to bitter departure not apparent? sorry, one mistake in 4 yrs with the context at hand is nothing to mac's behavior.

I think you need to re evaluate what you just said. And I'm liking tmac right now, it seems maturity and some sort of work ethic have finally befallen the guy, even though quite late. But when it comes to the rockets, don't open up one of the most disappointing chapters in rockets history.

Aaron Brooks was dragging the team down like a mug this season and I agree. His play from the bench was terrible. Its not the player he is though, from his first season of PT, to starting for just 3 months in and holding his own in the playoffs / + vast improvement the following year take seed of crappy play over and injury and mental weakness i admit following right after. Regarding what we could have done, I'm not even too sure any more. With the way kyle was playing you couldn't take his place away even though it would have probably spurred brooks, but kyle earned it. at the same time brooks was next to useless with the 2nd unit, they were just a bad fit. I just wish we would have handled his contract situation better and not left things to a bitter end. the landry/scola/brooks draft still lingers in my mind and I wish we could somehow reunite the bunch. They were playing great ball way above their heads last season untill we took that dip inevitably leading us down. I hope your getting my point. My whole argument stems from the fact that people were hating on the little guy despite all the things he did for us while he was here, and I hate when fans hate their own players when reasoning is not good enough, or refuse to give them a 2nd chance.

I kept seeing it yesterday with brad miller, even though i was pissed during the game. Some comments were really classless. And thats all I'm trying to get across. i feel every player deserves that loyalty from the fans. i hope i've cleared things up a little, it seems the TOF vs YOF label) way of arguing is getting in way of substance.

If you look only at our 4 wins in that Portland series, you'll see that Yao averaged the most points on the Rockets. How is that "mostly ineffective"?

the first game was absolutely ridiculous Yao was ungaurdable and without the slightest doubt the best player even though AB had 27 , everybody was doing well on top of it and we blew them out by 30. This is when Nate looked stupid and decided to front Yao, and like the tale has been told countless times, it greatly hindered him due to his lack of lateral movement and size.

    game 1- 24
    game 2- 11
    game 3- 7
    game 4-21
    game 5- 15
    game 6- 15

and those were poor choice of words, I don't think Yao can ever be inefective, but he wasn't the best viable option on the floor as he was greatly hindered. Even the games he scored 11 and 7 he helped out.

If you're going to say Brooks did more for this team than McGrady ever has, then obviously there is no point arguing with someone as in love with Brooks as you.

For that matter, someone who said Brooks was the main reason we went to the second round is perhaps the most laughable, ridiculous and thoughtless thing said by Rockets fan, let alone a Brooks defender.

And I'm not going to re-evaluate what I just said. And trust me, Aaron Brooks is part of the "most disappointing chapters in rockets history". A guy who literally went from something to absolutely nothing in just one season.

And you never did explain why people who undermine a 20/5 season is a "jackass". Then again, you never did acknowledge the existence of Mike James.

Sorry, the guy had one good playoff series. There are guys who were out of the league after their rookie contracts who have had one good year/playoffs.

He was bad last season and worse this season. Stats don't lie. Without Lowry we finish with 32 wins, maybe.

People don't like Brooks because he's overrated and he plays poorly. It's not comparable to TMac, who was mostly hated for off the court stuff.

Yes **** finally hit the fan when he walked out in Memphis but that's not the main reason.

Go back to watch the videos again. After Yao burned Portland in first game, they changed the strategy to double Yao almost every time he touches the ball and many times WOTHOUT ball to prevent Yao from getting the ball, that left the door open for Scola. And Yao protected the rim against their 7 footers with Deke injured in 1st game.

Blazers fans had nothing but respect for Yao, they thought Yao was the sole reason they lost the series. You are too blind to AB and can't see anything other than your boy AB.

Remind you:Yao, the nicest superstar in NBA history, called out AB after game 5 loss, said AB needs to play differently, not his own way.

A calling to all the minions as they hear the words that cause them discomfort to the point they have to lie to themselves. A track record on the course for purgatory salvaged at the stake of one change , that so few are too embarrased to acknowledge. That it was not their hero Tmac who whispered into their ears of being back or returning to his old form, or the center that was hushed out of the game by someone simply denying him the ball only standing in front of him , track record documented for 5 yrs straight as the sheep themselves try to convince themselves that it would finally work. Yes, it was that which failed so many times and not the change that was witnessed by all on the starting roster that led us to victory. Remain ignorant to all that has been proven in the past, and formulate your own hypothetical scenerios of chris paul, rose or rondo being bested in a matchup and maybe you can turn this perverted illusion of yours into something far more concerning.

and Yao playing the next round was a testament to how much he contributed to winning. Nice job.

I love how this turns into name calling w**** fest. I defend something in the past, and point out the glaring hypocrisy in the continuous midget SG , pg aren't supposed to score a lot, only to find that nobody is that stupid. It was the double standard that people carried, their lack of basketball insight and focus on repeated failure then the source that sparked the change.

So your telling me, that the 5 game stats that are being used to adulterate a class of players like cp3 and derron williams takes more precedent than a whole season and a PLAYOFF SERIES. You do understand why its in caps right? Until what point is every player held in disregard? Are you trying to tell me that the point where teams tighten their rotations and key in on the weaknesses of their opponent they plan to ambush them with in playoffs a fluke? I don't know what to think of this r****d statement.

Go read the claim flamingdts made with whats in bold. thats what the argument with him is about.

and sorry but this phrase is almost too comical:

so what is fact and proven for over a year and half loses substance to a claim and hypothetical scenario you think "maybe". i suggest you rephrase your argument if you expect anybody to weigh in on your claim.

I wasn't talking about THIS season, I was talking about last season. You know, the season where AB would dig us into a hole and Lowry would routinely dig us out of it. The "fact" is that AB has always been a negative aside from one playoffs, lol.

Yao lead Rockets to game one winning over Lakers in Los Angeles, put Rockets on his back in 1st half of game 3 before his foot betrayed him in 2nd half. I don't mind if you said Yao didn't contribute to winning in 2nd round, but don't pretend AB contributed that much more in winning. In fact, Rockets DIDN'T beat Lakers, and AB had 18 assists to 22 TOs in the 7 game series, a feast I believe not a single starting PG has ever done in any playoff series.

It's not about PG scoring, but about how PG makes others around him score more efficiently. Brooks can score, especially against slow PGs on certain teams, but he was never able to make his teammates score more efficiently.

For a large chuck of the season, the other starters on Rockets pretty much all had career lows in FG% or near career lows. AB plays like a poor man's Marbury, he scores more, but the entire teams doesn't. Now with Lowry running the show, pretty much every starter gets a career high or near career highs in FG%.

How can you have a straight face when you mention name calling now. Look at the posts you had last season when people didn't agree with you on AB. You flat out used abusive words on several occasions. You should be ashamed.
