I know I'm jumping the gun here, but with the game ending so badly today (CURSE YOU BRAD! ) I thought it'd be helpful to look at the silver lining of the game. Since trading Brooks, Lowry has been playing out of his mind He's been averging 23.7 ppg 8.5 apg These are excellent numbers, Kyle's been balling out of his mind. Hopefully this doesn't jinx it, but I think kyle's truly been developing nicely. Glad we stole him from Memphis.
He's only 24, so it's not really late. If he can hit 3's like he has been lately, he may be just below All-Star level.
most improved player winner Watch him get traded next year only to make Dragic the most improved player. The cycle of pg's continues
The thing about Lowry is that as nice as his numbers look, he's one of those players that can impact the game outside the numbers. It would be nice if he's able to break out into a star-quality guard. I can't say he's there yet, but maybe this a sign of what's to come. We can hope.
Adelman's system repels superstar development. Here's proof from EffTheJazz! "Iso Players: Does this system repel superstar development?"
No, I am bitter because we just lost a game to a team we are fighting against to make the playoffs. I am bitter that there is another thread praising Lowry and throwing the entire rest of the team under the bus.
a ton of love for lowry but what is he doing that brooks didnt do for the rockets at his peak.. i recall brooks going on runs where he was hitting a bunch of late game 3's and doing most of the scoring.. except in the final seconds brooks was fast enough to create separation to get a shot off or draw a double team by driving and dishing.. there is a million youtube videos proving this.. i havent seen lowry do this yet.. i was all for keeping lowry over brooks to facilitate but seems like hes trying to do everything brooks used to now.
I would if I could. He absolutely deserves the praise. Why does it have to be at the expense of someone else....ALWAYS
Star or not, Kyle Lowry is a keeper. I'm glad we signed him in the offseason. And if we we're looking to acquire a star, I rather it not be at our pg position.
Umm besides be a total idiot??? During crunch time, he threw away two passes that cost us the game. Gortat ate him up, and on top of that Miller is still an idiot!
http://espn.go.com/nba/statistics/player/_/stat/assists/sort/assistTurnoverRatio Lowry 6th in the league in terms of a/t ratio. 3.16, right ahead of Rondo and Nash.
