That's not good news. If the players don't like Spo, they might just tank the game to get him fired.

Well, I expected the Heat to burst out of the box against Portland a lot stronger than this. At some point during the game, they will pull away and leave the Blazers behind.

Well, he's on his way to a triple-double.

Still a long time left tonight, but if this is all the Heat have, the Lakers will blow them out Thursday. The effort on defense just isn't there and they are going through the motions on offense.

I'm beginning to wonder if they've quit on Spoelstra. Seriously, the Blazers aren't that good of a road team and their chemistry has been busted since the trade. They only won last night because Howard didn't play.

There is no sense of urgency.

why would you expect that from a team mired in a demoralizing slump? the heat need anything to go right for them right now.

roy and wallace bombing away from 3 and batum now getting 3 point plays on 18 foot jumpers is not the kind of thing their psyche needs. they need a team to miss some jumpers and maybe have some of their shooters make some to see things go right for once. not happening tonight so far.

also, they need mike miller to pretend he's a shooter. i think he paid someone off to list his 3pt% at 40% this season because he hasn't made a damn thing when i watch him.

That is how Portland took the game against Orlando last night. Forcing turnovers.

so chalmers takes a 2-for-1 3 well after the point to go 2-for-1 has passed and air balls it by 2 feet. brilliant.

the better question is do you think there is a good chance there will be a "The Cry" on ESPN tommorow if the blazers win?

You have to admit the Heat didn't play much defense in the 1st half. It was far from what they are capable of doing. So far, this game has lacked intensity, especially from the Miami side. This is why both offenses are lighting it up.

IMO, McHale and Webber realize the Heat aren't putting out but they don't want to say it. Chris Bosh is a zombie so far. LeBron and Wade are playing like robots who don't care. But, at least, they are effective robots.

    lebron's got 19/6/5 and is 8/11 so far. that's a hell of a robot.

but let's face it, miami couldn't beat you, me, and 3 other people from this thread right now. they better hope they beat memphis or they might go 0-10 on this stretch of games against good teams.
