We can only afford 4-5 more losses if we want to make it in. Improbable, but not impossible. If we keep up this level of play, we really can beat anybody. Something to note about those games against San Antonio and Dallas is we'll be at home and on rest, while they're away and back-to-back in all of them. That second Spurs game, the Spurs will be coming off a back-to-back with Boston. So the odds definitely aren't terrible for us to pull off the upsets.
Also for the Dallas game, it's the second-to-last game of the season, so it's possible that they will already be locked in to the #2 seed, and may be resting some of their starters. Let's hope for that.
Tonight's (3/8): Rockets @ Suns obviously the biggest game of the season Portland @ Miami. Hopefully the Heat can put away the kleenex and win a game with rest against a team on the 2nd night of a B2B.

Good day today. Grizzlies lost at home against New York. New Orleans does the same vs Dallas. Tomorrow we have PHO vs DEN.
Not so fast on New Orleans, Hornets have the ball down 2 with 16 seconds. Edit - Jack on the line for 3 free throws and the LEAD...MASSIVE collapse by Dallas.
Another reason to hate Dallas!!! How do you freaking lose a 7 point lead with 1 min to play? New York was about to do the same but Melo bailed them out.
New Orleans beating Dallas at home was technically supposed to happen. New Orleans was almost certainly going to win the tiebreaker anyway, and now it is all but clinched. New Orleans is still awful on the road, so the Rockets have hope there. The Grizz losing at home to the Knicks was an unexpected gift. Tonight was definitely a plus for the Rockets. 3 games back of Memphis and Phoenix (2 games technically, but tiebreaker makes it 3) with 16 to play. 12-4 and maybe 11-5 will get it done. Tough, but still hope left for the Rockets.
Long shot for this to happen but Kings up 6 against Magic in second quarter. This doesn't affect our playoff chances but if the Suns do miss the big dance then we are stuck with Orlando's first, which is 23rd right now (Suns would be 18th).
If MEM and PHO make the playoffs, we get their draft picks, however it's a weak draft. We could end up with 3 picks in the teens, but how good would they be? Tough choice. Do we still want the 8th seed? Is there any chance we can beat SAS in the first round?
We won't have Memphis' pick till 2013 at the earliest. If we miss the playoffs then we have a late lottery, a late 'teen to early twenty first and a early 2nd round pick (swap with Clippers) to show for it. With that many picks and considering how deep our bench is with younguns, I expect Morey to package our pick along with the Suns/Magic and possibly a prospect (Hill? T-Will?) and move up into the top 5 or 8 in the draft. I wouldn't be surprised if we traded out of the draft either for a starter.
