need to drop 3 lbs by next Thurs, what is the quickest way???

    Hot College Co-ed in Bikini - Well, that 148 pound guy over there is okay, but I would totally do him if he were more like 145 or so.

    everyone has different body types, I am 5 6'' and weigh 147 lbs and I am trying to tone up to look more defined before hitting the beach for spring break

    I bulked up the last 2 weeks but I want to keep my muscle while taking weight off my gut...

    I can lose weight fast by cutting carbs and running but I end up just losing most of my muscle gains

    You bulked up in TWO WEEKS?? What kind of crazy fluctuations does your body go through to where a week or two causes THIS much difference?? If you're losing all your muscle mass after two weeks of cardio, then you're either not working out properly or you have the muscle density of a piece of paper. Just eat good, clean, healthy food (i.e. stop eating like an ass****), continue lifting weights, and mix in cardio every other day. You might not LOSE the 3 lbs, but you'll tone up. Besides, from the way your body handles things, if you take my advice, you'll be ripped by the weekend.

    5'6" and about 150 lbs? sounds like you need to do some cardio and hit them abs.

    I would kill to just need to lose 3 lbs...besides running/cardio and not eating fast food/crap, the only other way is to starve yourself...

    In two weeks you did not gain any muscle mass to make a difference unless you were taking roids. You are not going to lose any muscle mass in a week or two either.

    i know i dont know why people think their body changes this fast. my roommate thinks like this. he said he can tell the difference the next day if he eats a salad for dinner instead of a burger.

    You have time to lose weight the healthy way. Just cut out sugar, potatoes, white pasta, white rice, and white bread. Reduce salt.

    Drink 6-9 glasses of water a day.

    Add fruits (Earlier in day) and raw vegetables.

    Have 5 meals a day. Make sure you have at least some protein in 3 of those, especially the one after a workout.

    Lift heavy, make sure you're not resting too much between sets/exercises. You're not going to add any significant muscle mass in 9 days, you want to burn the most calories, and tone up.

    Sleep well.

    Wow, actually that doesn't sound easy at all lol

    Its a math problem.

    1 lb. = 3,500 calories.

    So you need to net a reduction of 10,500 calories to lose 3 lbs.

    It is a lot easier to NOT eat some calories, than to burn them off, but you want to probably combine the two.

    You probably burn 2,200 calories a day just being alive. Reduce intake and start burning.
