    Yeah but it sounds like she's in hiding, not that someone kidnapped her. I wouldn't be surprised if the PD was in on it and thought it may be the best option for her, to flee and then theyd come up with a story to fire her and hope that'll take her off the cartels' radar.

    In the report, it states that she took a leave because her 8-month old baby is sick, and then failed to report today. That's crazy that she decided to take that job when she had a little infant knowing how high the risk was. But yes, it says that they believe she could have fled to the US for safety. It basically seems like certain parts of Mexico have become very similar to the Wild West, where bandits (in this case drug cartels) run the place, and the police force consists of a few brave souls. What an unbelievably sad state of affairs.
