I couldn't sleep tonight (maybe it has something to do with my experience on the road today) so I decided to continue my string of increasing my knowledge of DeNiro movies. I chose to watch "Heat" and continually found myself rooting for the bad guys. This got me thinking about movies in general where we find ourselves rooting for the bad guys. With it being pretty rare I figured it wouldn't be too hard for you experts to recall some other movies like this. A couple others: The Hannibal series Catch me if you can Escape from Alcatraz Pugs
I think the whole point of Unforgiven is Clint is supposed to be a bad guy ... not in the recovering Shane manner ... but really a bad guy. Just retired. But yeah, as for "Heat" I was totally against Pacino.
I think it's unfair to put "Escape From Alcatraz" on a list like this. I think in that movie you're supposed to root for the "bad guys". It's not like the movie made any effort to make the warden or the guards likeable characters just trying to do their job. The protagonists of the movie were clearly Clint Eastwood and his crew.
any movie with Nicholas cage.. and he's been coming out with tons of movies. I would love to see his character get shot in the just head once and end the movie 30mins in, but that's just me.
