No, it ended with it starting to tip over. It was suspenseful because it was dragging on and on and so you began to think to yourself 'Oh my gosh he is still in a dream no way!' then before it ends you have closure because you begin to see it start to tip over.
It wobbled, but didn't tip over. If Nolan wanted you to know he would have shown if fall over. Instead he's leaving it to the audiences own interpretation of what happened.
Oh wow that is probably the biggest brainfart ever by me lol. Somehow in my mind the movie ended when everyone just woke up on the plane and mission accomplished, totally forgot the actual ending
American History X, Donnie Darko, and Reservoir Dogs all have great endings. They also all have downer endings. The Empire Strikes Back has a great ending depending on how much of the movie you want to call the ending, just standing on the ship is meh, as is the discussion of a rendezvous on Tattooine, but if you go all the way back to the confrontation between Luke and Vader the ending is awesome. I personally think that is too much to consider the ending.
Stupid Moniker, but everyone died in Reservior Dogs. hehe I actually have a story about that. I did the comedy defensive driving thing. Show up at 8am, not enough coffee, on a saturday, and realize this Comedy Defense thing is not cool because they are trying to do an act, which means getting the crowd involved. This is too early in the morning. So this female comedian makes us all at 8am get involved. She's playing the crowd. We still have 6 hours to go. She asks, what are your two favorite movies of the last year. I'm sitting in the back. So it works it's way to me. I don't know how many people remember, but Reservoir Dogs only last 7 days in Houston, until Tarrantino became popular and it made a comeback. But, I went on first showing... have to think my gf for picking the movie. There was only 15 ppl in the theatre for the 1st run. Tarrantino was not big, yet. So, it's my turn. I say to the crowd of defensive driving people, "Two movies? OK, Delicatessan and Reservoir Dogs." And I'm so tired. And the comedian just lights up, like this is her moment to have fun with the crowd. She says, "What? I've never heard of those movies." So I say, Well, Delicatessan is a post-apocalypse movie about France when there is no longer any meat. So the Deli has some rooms above it for visitors. Who they kill for meat.... But it's a comedy. It's not really about cannibalism. chirp chirp Then she says, OK, what about Reservoir Dogs. Well, that's a jewelry heist gone wrong. The dialogue is actually really awesome. Then some guy in the front row says, "I heard about that movie; that's the movie where everyone dies." They the entire class turns around to stare at me, while I'm stunned...thinking to myself, "did everyone die." Hold on a second. It takes me about 5 seconds....thinking to myself, Bechemi did die I suppose, then I snap out of it and agree...."Yes, everyone did die." But at that put everyone in the class thinks I'm a weirdo, and the comedian makes fun of me for my taste in death movies, and no one talks to me for the rest of the day. sigh.
The ending of Usual Suspects totally made the movie. I was wondering what the hell all the hype was about until the end. Then, it all made sense.
Technically, there is no evidence that Mr. Pink is dead. He may be arrested or he may get away. We can assume Orange was killed by White, though it happens out of frame, but the only thing we know about what happens to Pink is what we can get from the audio, and there is not enough there to say Pink dies.
There was a lot of gun fire outside. Something tells me Mr Pink was not loaded and ready, nor could he shoot himself out of a jam like that. That's what he gets for not tipping the waitress. right?
I was pretty sure Mr. Pink survived, he was hiding when the gunfire occurred. Edit: Spoiler As Police sirens are heard outside, White cradles Orange in his arms and Orange reveals that he is in fact a Cop. This devastates White, who begins sobbing in frustration and points his gun at Orange's head as Police can be heard outside capturing and arresting Pink. The Police then enter the warehouse (with the camera in a close-up of White's face), demanding White drop his gun; he refuses and shoots Orange, resulting in the Police opening fire on White just before the film ends. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reservoir_Dogs
Wow, that's what wikipedia says. Mr. Pink went for the jewels, right? Then we hear a bunch of gunfire outside. hmmm. I going to have to re-rent this. I never thought they all died, either, until confronted by a class of 30 people staring at me to piece it together in 5 seconds. haha
