I really don't know what they see in Naima either. She is basically all style, but even that is an acquired taste. Some gypsy-looking chick with weird vocals.
That's not true. I really doubt if any black people care about either of these girls to be honest. Jacob is the guy most black people would care about. Besides, Ashthon Jones had a pretty good stand out moment tonight. If I were picking it would have been: Robbie, Ashthon and Stefano.
My picks would have been Kendra, Stefano, and Ashthon. Rankings for the girls (based on who I like not on who I think will win): 1 - Lauren 2 - Pia 3 - Haley (mainly for the slutty factor) 4 - Thia 5 - Naima 6 - Ashthon 7 - Michelle Rankings for the guys (based on who I like not on who I think will win): 1 - Casey 2 - James 3 - Stefano 4 - Jacob 5 - Scotty 6 - Paul I really think it is a travesty and a joke that they have 7 girls in the final 13! The theory that the producers are trying to push a girl to win, I think has some merit.
Yep. Race always plays a part. People tend to relate, and vote, to their own. Saw that one comin from a mile away. Plus Ashton is FINE indeed.
Ha, yea, you're right! But I think that both Clint and Brett should have been given a second chance. The guys that didn't get to sing in the wildcard were better than the girls that didn't get to sing. Even the unlikable Jordan Dorsey was better than half the girls, IMO. Overall rankings, based on who I like: 1 - Casey - this dude is just a badass; he might be my favorite AI contestant EVER. 2 - James - I like his background and story and like that he is a rocker. I am hoping that he keeps the screaming under control like he did on Tuesday. 3 - Lauren - man I love this girl! She has the total package, IMO and I would not be upset one bit if she won it all. 4 - Stefano - This dude has grown on me a lot; loved seeing him and James embrace when he was picked as the wildcard. 5 - Jacob - He is a great singer but I do think he is a little over the top; his act might get old after awhile. 6 - Pia - she looks like a cross between Mila Kunis and Selena Gomez; the wife keeps pointing out her square chin. She is what Julie Zorilla wanted to be but was unable to get there. Don't know if I will really get into her but I did like her performance the other night. 7 - Haley - the sluttiest girl left; can't wait to see what outfits she will wear as she fights for her life! 8 - Thia - she has great talent but I am not crazy about her - she might grow on me in the upcoming weeks. 9 - Naima - I like her to a degree but she is a little exotic sometimes plus the people ahead of her are very talented; I'm glad she made it even though I still would have chosen Kendra over her. 10 - Scotty - respect his talent but don't care for country music at all. 11 - Ashthon - she has great talent and determination but I have seen plenty of female singers like her in the past; I don't think she really brings anything unique to the show and she seems like she can become annoying. 12 - Michelle - how in the hell did she make it over some of the others? 13 - Paul - I've said it before and will say it a million more times - I don't get this guy at all. I know he has his fans out there (I'm talking to you, University Blue!) but I just don't get him. He is a major league weirdy, in my book and for me to say that, you know that means something!

Some thoughts after last night: -Surprised Clint was eliminated. Jordan, Brett and Tim I all saw coming from a mile away. -Surprised Lauren Turner was eliminated. She's definitely better than some of the girls that advanced initially and WAYYYY better than Naima. Rachel, Julie and Ta-Tynisa being eliminated I figured would happen. Now onto the Wild Card...... [Pretending like I agree with the panel's Wild Card choices, which I don't] The three I would have kept: Kendra, Ashton and Stefano with a STRONG temptation to have Jovany edge out any of those three (yes, I'm serious. He delivered the one of the top two W.C. performances last night, IMO). -Robbie's performance didn't really do it for me. I've liked him up to this point but given the fact that he didn't 'wow' me when his life was on the line I can't really be upset over his elimination. -Kendra got robbed -Not sure what they see in Naima. Sure, her story is touching but we're at the point where the sympathy vote needs to go out the window. The fact that the judges could seriously advance her over, say, Kendra completely boggles my mind. Not sure what they were thinking.
Ashton was for diversity only. Or it was her attitude that the judges like. Karen Rodriguez should go soon. It's not a good idea to be derailing the show into a Latina Idol.
Why didn't Jordan sing an extra song, did everyone have the chance to sing one more time? What is the deal with him? Was it his own choice not to sing? NOt that I like him...... Robbie was my favorate, sad to see him not make it.
Jordan didn't sing again because the judges only picked 6 out of 14 to sing for the wildcard berth. Clint, Brett, Lauren Turner, and many others were not chosen either. baller, Completely agree 150% on Kendra and Naima. Naima's story is tearjerker but so was Chris Medina and IMO, he was the better singer than her. But the point remains that we are WELL past the point of having people go through based off sympathy.
I'd pay to go see Casey long before most artists out now. I like everything about him. Jacob Lusk. WTF do people hear in that voice? All I hear is a screeching voice like someone kick in his balls. That was freaking terrible. Everytime he goes high that screeching annoying sound comes out.
