This probably reflects a minimalist bias on my part but I think a simpler rocket would be better. Also it wouldn't remind me so much of the Rockets with teeth logo.
Yeah, i agree..going back to what i mentioned about a silhoutte of the rocket, what about keeping the rocket as part of the red outline around the ball? You can keep it red as well, just outline it to wear it looks like a rocket, that way it blends in and stays as par tof the logo, rather than being in front.

I will do some new jerseys based on my font and logos but I would like to have some feedback on what colors to use? Im more for the colors from the title years just based on the fact that those feel like "our" real colors under the big Houston Rockets era. Otherwise you have the 70s colors: red,white and orange. So please give me an input on what colors to use!
I think your concept works well with black, perhaps black and yellow. As much as I can't USC maybe a dark, almost maroon red and yellow.
Even with the rocket sailing across the front of it, this logo makes me think of "Human Resources" when I look at it. Your first logo is still unbeatable.
Maybe we just need to remove "R" to leave "H" there. This way, it won't be referring to Human Resource. So rocket sailing across the front of ball with H on it, I think it will look pretty cool. Can you change it?
Just like H-town, the "H" on the ball would make sense. Just remove R because there's already rockets picture sailing across the ball, so dont need R again.
I think these deserve a bump... though I'm really liking rockets43's stuff too! especially if you can continue the black trim on the shorts and keep the yellow trim you added on a previous post.
