Yeah, ends up in the hoop...

Unlike today where we are the 3rd highest scoring team in the league with 105.5 points a game.

Yeah, too bad Adelman teams can put the ball "in the hoop"...

Hmm well where do we start.

    1.) Costing us Brandon Roy
2.) Not drafting a single competent player
3.) Not ever playing/developing any young guys
4.) Four total players scoring in a playoff game
5.) An offensive playbook with 2 plays in it
6.) Luther Head seeing playing time
7.) Loyalty to clearly washed up ex Knick players
8.) A "defensive genius" who couldnt figure out that Battier was able to lock down D.Williams. PS - it took Adelman all of a quarter to make this switch.
9.) Alienating Wells and Vspan over stupid BS.

    1. You seriously want Brandon Roy and his knees on this team now? :)
    2. The front office does the draft scouting. The Rockets also didn't have a 1st round pick during his first 2 years.
    3. What young players were there to develop? And how does this work with #6, when Luther Head was the only 1st round pick the team had during his time?
    9. You serioulsy b****ing about Wells and Vspan?

Roys knees were a product of terrible management by Portland. Seriousy? Bringing Roy back a week after a major surgery that takes months to properly heal?

Don't know who has final say with scouting/drafting, but I assume its a joint effort. Bottom line is we got nothing from the draft in multiple years he was here. His fault? Maybe not entirely, but atleast some of the blame.

How about Snyder or Vspan? Maybe they could of been good NBA players? Who knows

Yes, Adelman used Wells. So what if he was fat, he could still play and he was still better than the garbage on the roster.

I like Van Gundy a lot.

He's definitely good enough to make us a pretty good team. Could he take us beyond that? I'm not sure.

I think RA is at least as good as JVG, except that he doesn't have any commitment to defense. This is a serious blind spot, just like Don Nelson's lack of commitment to get big men.

Dumb luck cost us Brandon Roy. The coach's job is to coach to win and win period. He cost us Brandon Roy like Adelman cost us Blake Griffin.

He is the coach not the ******* GM.
Name one "young guy" he didn't develop who later on became anything worth a damn. In other words, name ONE Gerald Wallace under JVG.

Maybe JVG should've shot some more to make it five.
    BS. Unlike your other points.
WHY WOULD HE EVER PLAY???%%%DEVELOP YOUNG GAIS BAD JVGGGGGG

Every coach goes back to what he is comfortable with. See Adelman: Brad Miller, Kevin Martin, Bobby Jackson, Ron Artest, Bonzi Wells
Hey, good call by Adelman. NOT YOU
WELLS AND VSPANNNN????!!!!@@@@@ WTF SHOOT ME NOW

    You never should have.

I will contribute by dumping all over your discussion. Please move on to the next topic.

If you're going to blame JVG for Snyder, Vspan, etc, then you need to blame Adelman for JT, Dorsey, Twill, etc.

The Rockets had traded away both their 2004 and 2005 first rounder before hiring JVG. We got nothing from the draft because we got no pick in the draft.

Snyder and VSPAN? Snyder was already rejected in Utah and New Orleans. Maybe he could have been a good NBA player and it's JVG's fault he wasn't? It's his 3rd NBA coach'es fault? Christ, and we are talking about the same guy who went crazy and attacked a sleeping neighbor and went to jail?

VSpan was a whiny little b**** who never really improved even after returning to Europe.

Wells was skinnier in SAC (due to contract year status), but was at 270 lbs by the time the Rockets signed him. He wasn't just fat, he was a 6'5'' 270 lb SG. And you blame JVG for Wells gaining weight before getting on the roster?

    JVG cost us Brandon Roy?

That's dumb on so many levels.

    1) JVG doesn't draft the players
    2) Minny picked him before us
    3) The Rockets clearly stated that Roy was their TOP target, and when they couldn't get him, they went with the Battier trade as plan B

So, even if 1 wasn't true, 3 would negate it entirely.

    Fail sammich.

Edit: Apparently you're blaming him for not having the foresight to know 1) how the lottery balls would fall and 2) how players that had not even declared for the draft yet would grade out. That is even dumber.

Except it was one game, not fifty. The difference between Roy and Battier was one game. I am not for tanking, but that would of been a franchise changer.

Yes, because clearly these 2 management positions never speak or listen to one another.

    Nachbar

Nice avoiding the argument. Four players scored. FOUR. If you think the coach shouldnt take heat for that, then I dont know what to tell you.

    Post up Yao
    PnR McGrady

Playing them does not equal developing them.

If you can't see the difference, I dont know what to tell you.

    This doesnt even make sense.

Both talented players who could of been useful. Neither utilized.

No more discussion with you. You have no respect or class for fellow posters.

So, those who blame JVG for the loss of Roy, are you also gonna blame Adelman for the loss of John Wall, DeMarcus Cousins, Favors, etc. for winning too many meaningless games and losing too many lotto balls last year or winning too many games this year?

Roy came down to one game :(

I'll never forget that Denver game. Things could of ended up so much differently.

Figures Juwon Howard would be at the center of it.

Yes, because he could have foreseen the ramifications of that one game, before the draft. Not all of us are freakin' fortune tellers or gypsies or whatever the hell you are.

Yet you didn't say a word about the GM. And oh, like CH mentioned, we had NO picks.

WHO?!?!!? Where the hell is he????
I think the players should take heat for that, since they didn't have a problem having more than FOUR scorers the other 80 some games of the year.

You are right, Luther has really blown up now that JVG is not holding him back.

I see the difference in his GM couldn't get him better Knicks player like Morey could get Adelman some good Kings players.

STOP IT. The more you say it the more dumberererererer you look.

No. No. No. No. No. No more discussion with me. No more discussion PERIOD. Stop discussing. Your discussing sucks.

I have respect for posters and I have shown plenty. I have zero, none, zilch, nada respect for idiots. Believe it or not I have shown zen like restraint with your moronic posts here and in the past, like a ***** Buddha. So be thankful.

Thats a pretty good example actually.

Most players develop into what they are going to be by thier third season. Once Adelman got a hold of Hayes, he made him into a much more dynamic player. The Hayes we see today is much different from the JVG one.

I don't understand your post about Bachar. What about him? He was a player that was given playing time that didn't meet expectations. It's not like he was the only player ever to do that.
